Trump Will Win the Nomination

If Hillary wins the popular vote by 7.5% or more, I get to chose your avatar for the year. Under 7.5% you win

Right. Now I remember. Think it was from the day after the election until Jan 1, 2017. Is that right?

Paul Ryan must be kicking himself. Had he run, he'd be the nominee and at least even money to win the WH. Now, he'll have to wait eight years.

Ryan shit the bed. Being GOP Speaker as long as the Tea Party exists is a thankless dead end job. May have thought Walker was going to be on the ticket and could replace him as WI Governor. Couldn't avoid endorsing Trump, but silly to pretend it was a huge surprise when Trump fucked up shortly after he endorsed him. Play out the string and maybe run for WI Governor in 2018 if Scotty doesn't run again. Otherwise may get fragged for not impeaching Hillary without votes to convict in the Senate, Newt style.

Doubt Martinez runs for POTUS in 2020, but she played her hand well. Didn't diss Trump, just didn't attend his rally. Trump exploded as a message to other 'Pubs. Many are no longer scared of Trump since they happily shit all over him for the Curiel comments. Were looking for a safe off ramp and Trump obliged.

There is seriously something wrong with you Bob.

I'm not kidding, nor making a joke when I say you may want to seek a psychological evaluation. Your stark change in tone and demeanor over the past 6 months is startling, and quite frankly somewhat terrifying.

This isn't about Dems vs. Pubs, this is somebody saying to get some help.

WTF is this horseshit. Come on man.

I'm not joking. Something triggered a few months back around the same time that he mentioned he had something medical going on (as TWMD said).

I am not a doctor, nor am I pretending to be, but if he has had any changes in his real life like he has on this board then it is worth looking in to.

Not agreeing with The Sanctioned Opinion is a medical condition.

It has absolutely nothing to do with disagreeing on political matters, and everything to do with:

Repeating the same thing ad nauseum.
Complete switch in mentality from what he has believed for 60+ years.
High variance in moods that leads to belittling/chastising/more repeating of millennials and their arrogance.

These are all things that have popped up over the past few months. That's worth looking at.

Millennial Arrogance is off the charts on these threads. As I said, about all you can do is laugh about it....and it does make the boards entertaining.

Case in point.

Just to be clear, you don't see any daylight between the demands of the Civil Rights Movement from the 1960s and modern political left's policy positions? Isn't it possible that he could have been in favor of allowing race-blind access to civil and public services and opportunities (what was missing in the 1960s) and opposed to day modern grievance mongering?

Of course they aren't the same thing. I never said they were.

I don't think that recognizing injustice in the 1960s and recognizing the damage done by low expectations in 2010s constitutes a "Complete switch in mentality from what he has believed for 60+ years."

BKF might have been ahead of his time in the 1960s and remains ahead of his time in 2016.

Its unbelievable that the people working for Donald Trump aren't so smart?

no, unbelievable that his campaign is such a clusterfuck that he is now calling "surrogates" and telling them to ignore what his staffers have told them to do because his own staffers are dumb. I mean, that takes amateur hour to a whole new level.

Most of Jmans post that BKF just flipped out about was a paraphrase from Lindsay Graham anyways. That damn millennial Graham.

Not saying Jman didn't have the same thought, but Graham used the term "off ramp" today about its time for republicans to bail ship from trump now.

The quick timing of the shift is more interesting than the position change IMO. Interesting being wholly relative because it's not objectively interesting in the least

Could it not be that he just saw the light. Wisdom comes with age. It could happen to you guys as well.

You may one day tire of the hypocrisy and arrogance of the left. When this happens, you will have to join the right or come join the libertarians.

They are going to make adorable OWGs.

Other bizarre part is campaign staffers leaking dirty laundry to the press even before Trump formally has the nomination. McCain's staffers figured out Palin was a disaster pretty quickly, but they still sucked it up during the campaign.
