I'm way late on this conversation but I don't wear pajamas in bed at all. I haven't slept in anything other than just boxers (at most) in like a decade. It's by far the best way to sleep.

I've yet to find anything OTC that actually works. It all depends on what kind of assholes your fellow passengers are. Melatonin is probably the most likely to bring success though.

And valerian root. Just hold your nose when you swallow the pills. Valerian root literally smells like ass
 
tonight instead of the guy's new female friend just meeting us at trivia, they arrived together as he had driven her. they even ran together this morning without even inviting me. so that door is closed. thanks for the fun and advice, CT!

Well the guy is a horndog, just casually drop "Hey you know what's funny? I've never had a threesome"

At this point, it is inevitable he will seek out his lady friend to apprise her of this abhorrent turn of events.

This will cause her to recoil in disgust, whereupon she will insist that that he removes himself from your presence.

The boyfriend will then offer his lady friend the requisite sympathy even as part of him cannot help but be somewhat flattered by his inclusion in this unusual request.

A few days goes by and a text is placed at a time in which you know the ladyfriend to be at work, once the initial awkwardness is relieved with a little playful humor, which he of course can not resist, and offer for dinner is proffered.

You disappoint me, my friend. The ladyfriend will want nothing to do with you. But he will want to continue to play trivia. She will tell him eventually "If you want to keep playing trivia with that pervert, that's your problem."
 
So real talk, why don't you just up and move out of winston. Your issue of "all guys who want to settle down have done so already" only applies to southern people. Northerners/Californians who are ambitious and single and rich are plentiful and just too busy working 70h a week in finance or as lawyers. You'd have 6 first dates a week if you wanted to on LA tinder. I was averaging 2-3 a week and I'm a dude and I'm not particularly good looking.

I could probably have that many dates here too, if I just wanted to go on dates with anyone, which I certainly do not. When I was on okcupid, I ignored probably 75% of the messages I received, and I'm very average looking myself. But I'm female and not hideous or obese. And yes I realize that goes against everything I posted about men having it easy. Half the guys I messaged ignored me too though.

As for living in Winston, my life is here, I own a house, and I don't like upheaval. But I realize I'm choosing Winston, Wake, and my social life, over opportunities for both career advancement and romantic prospects. Winston, single, tons of friends... or some other city, no friends for a while, deeper dating pool. :noidea:
