Tulane Game Review / Duke Game Week Thread

Vegas doesn't try to get half of the money on each side. As reflected in the article, sportsbooks are happy if the square money is one side; as reflected in this line, they will even move the line in favor of the side getting more action if the sharps are on the other side. Sportsbooks will move the line to even out the action when the public and the sharps are on the same side (this doesn't happen very often and means that a bad line was set).

Of course I already bet the -5.5 on Duke, but there's a reason there are tall buildings in Las Vegas, as well as why people rely on stats (in this case not as well connected/backed up as they should be).

I like Wake and the points. Duke lost players from a team that really wasn't very good and had a pretty lucky W-L record. And they have injuries. They just seem like a bad team to me.
 
We are totally capable of getting beat by a TD on the road by a bad team.
 
I don't see us scoring more than 10 (probably 7) and I don't see them scoring less than 17.
 
The way I see it is that we are undefeated. As a fan, I enjoy going into each week with an unrealistic positive outlook. It starts to hurt when the realization sets in that we are going to lose, but like they say, "it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all"..

Let's get big, let's get hairy,lets end the 4 game skid to these dook heads and go into next week with a 2-0 record.
