F is for Fascism (Ferguson MO)

I thought the entire point was that you're supposed to answer as quickly as possible and not become "acclimated to the ordering," hence "implicit" bias.

Does you think weed makes someone more dangerous?

While not the point, I've seen some people completely freak out while high. Also, who knows WTF else he might have been on.

As a rule, guns+drugs=bad. Really not tough to grasp.

Are there people on here who do not believe that they, or others, have implicit biases?

Follow up, do you stereotype? Either in your internal monologue or with friends?

I know you're trolling and I'm biting on it, but this Implicit Bias Project that Numbers linked features researchers and founders from:

Virginia
Columbia
Harvard
George Washington
USC
Harvard Med School
Florida

Surely you don't think everybody on that list is just somebody else who is subjected to the DNC and the liberal media bias.

I took the implicit bias test at Wake in a psych class. If I remember correctly, my results were very slightly (way less than the class average) skewed towards bias. But yes, the majority of the class had implicit bias.

My implicit bias regarding race was average, despite my blue streak. I guess I do just want to keep black people destititute so they'll always vote democrat.

Which one do you take? There are so many different opportunities for it to call me racist or a bigot, how do I choose which one?

Implicit bias has nothing to do with "racism" or "bigotry".

It has to do with understanding that everybody has unconscious mannerisms and preconceived notions that impact how you view the world that you are unaware of.

Who cares? Is everyone supposed to think the same? I'm pretty sure it is just a backdoor way to call someone racist or prejudiced without any actual evidence of racism or prejudice.

Yes, but the it took awhile for this old man to associate the correct keystroke with good or bad. About half way through it became much easier and therefore quicker even when the keystrokes were reversed. I took a Harvard test.

I think I've raised this point before, but I think a large issue just furthering a divide on these issues is the nature of "racism" and "prejudice" linguistically. People generally hear those words and think about them as active verbs rather than passive occurrences. If you have implicit biases and don't acknowledge that they exist, or don't attempt to look at yourself and your thoughts objectively, then it is more likely that they become inculcated as part of your views and it's more likely that you act on them. People hear "racist" and say "I'm not racist because I don't call black people the N word or go to KKK meetings" which is fine, but it doesn't mean that there aren't biases that you don't actively address on a day to day basis that you hold (stereotypes, experiences from the past that inform your view on things, anecdotes, etc.) that inform how you act.

So...if you burn at the stake and succumb to either smoke inhalation or incineration, then your death is proof that you weren't a racist-by-implicit bias and you're exonerated posthumously.

If you do not burn at the stake, then you are a racist, and should be put to death.

If you admit your biases, you're biased.

If you don't, you're in denial.

Am I doing this right?
