Donald Trump in ‘beginning stages’ of plan to relocate US Israeli embassy to Jerusalem, White House confirms

Goodbye any chance for peace. Nothing like antagonistic moves on day 1. Anyone have a reason why this is a good move or is it just more "he's not a republican I didn't vote for him get over the election" commentary

Misleading headline. From the story,

His press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters on Sunday: "We are at the very beginning stages of even discussing this subject."

I think it's a dumb move if it happens, but it's shameful the way these fuckers flat out lie and tell half-truths to attack Trump.

Sounds like a "yeahhhh we'll prob back off this" statement to me but whatev maybe it will happen

This is why diplomacy is so difficult, though. Even bringing up this possibility to the media may have tremendous ramifications for a conflict that has proved equally vexing to Democrat and Republican leadership for nearly 40 years. That comment was so unbelievably irresponsible, even more so if the administration doesn't have any intention of making it happen.

Trump and his administration are in the White House now. A basic, non-partisan expectation needs to be that they act like it.

I agree that it's stupid to even entertain the idea.

Was there a question that beget that answer from Spicer? Because if the question was "are you moving the US embassy to Jerusalem" a response of "we are at the very beginning stages of even discussing this subject" is at most a punt of the issue, and certainly not a confirmation

Is Sunday really the day to declare that your belief system requires proof?

This is dumb. Even the Israelis don't want it to be in Jerusalem.
