BBall Recruiting Thread 2k18 - Hoard, Mucius, Lewis, and Wright sign NLIs!

McClinton is a redshirt junior, meaning this is his fourth year of college education. If he transfers he will be immediately eligible and not have to sit out a year.

Assuming he graduates in May he can transfer and play right away next year.

Arians and TVH are both seniors. So if Mcclinton grad transfers we will have theee open scholarships. Brown and eggleston will take two of those but Okeke is a preferred walk on meaning we can take 1 more in 2017

I'm sure this has been discussed a ton, but do we know if McClinton would be considered a grad transfer that could play right away next year? If not, I don't see why he'd leave to sit out a year before playing again (if he could even do that... that'd be 6 years of college).

Seems more likely that Mitchell transfers (or someone else we aren't considering).

But given our track record of roster turnover, I'm sure we'd have room.

Can't imagine Mitchell transferring. He gets good PT and has shot the 3 pretty well this year. Do we have any guards coming in next year? I'm only thinking of Chaundee and Melo who are more wing players, I thought.

He means Donovan Mitchell.

I really hope Washington and Mitchell stay for at least another year. I'm interested to see if an offseason in the weight room and some development from Manning can turn one or both of them into a solid backup option at the 3/4 when Brown or Dinos sit next year.

I don't see the John Collins comparisons at all. Aside from maybe on the defensive end (in that he can block shots when helping other defenders, but isn't all that great in guarding his man).

Having said that, it would help fill a hole... There will be plenty of available minutes in the paint when/if Collins bolts. But this guy looks like a project and not a day one contributor (more Moore than Collins... though I can't think of a real WFU comp).

i think people were saying he physically resembles JC, tho i could be wrong. has a similar haircut in the FIBA vid.

this guy's game is definitely more analogous to Doral, but he seems like a much more fluid athlete. he seems like a better prospect than dinos was coming from greece imo.

Okeke isn't taking up a scholarship, correct? Just a walk-on (preferred, that is), right?

doral can jump but he's incredibly herky jerky in his motions. olivier looks much better running the court and just generally moving around, that's reflected in his scouting report.

Bruh, I was kidding. Doral is the least fluid dude in years. My whole body tenses up whenever someone even considers an entry pass his way.

sorry man, i'm usually good at avoiding density. reading this board sometimes inures you to earnest bad takes but i should've considered the poster.

They each have a fluidity of motion. I realize mix tapes are highlights, but in the case of bigs they show what a player can do. Like Collins, he moves well to the ball on both ends. Sarr may not be as far along offensively as Collins was, but he seems to have the hands, the ability to move.

I'm not saying he's as good as Collins was. He's not as far along as Collins was, but it appears he has many of the attributes Collins has. Whether he learns or progresses isn't assured, but he has the building blocks.

I still think the worst thing that happened to Moore was going to Monteverde. Rather playing his senior year in HS, scoring a ton and gaining confidence, he ended up on the bench. It was more than a wasted year. He also had to regain his confidence. Tha'ts really tough.
