The sad thing is, it's this bad nation wide. The emphasis of rules (but not on a consistent basis) is killing things.
 
crawford refused to stay on his man who was a 3 pt shooter every single time in the 1st half. that being said he was a beast and brought us back along with collins. wilbekin hurts us at every part of the game...cant wait for chaundee
 
I couldn't see the game - looks like defense and turnovers were the difference? We have been really, really taking care of the ball lately - this game we did not. That seems to be a big difference between our good games and bad games this year - especially turnovers by Crawfish. He had 7 tonight....

We didn't deserve to win and Ted didn't help - he should be doing D3 games at best

Ultimately the NCAA's are now out of reach. The home Clemson and Duke piss aways will be the difference. No shame in being an NIT team this year, as that was a more realistic scenario this year. If Collins returns , we can be a top 25 team next year.

Yes, but the non-ACC games I've watched don't seem to be as bad. Plus, Valentine took it to a new level tonight. I think there was about a 5 minute stretch where he was the only ref that stopped play.

he did kinda look like one of those refs where you wonder if he really is in his own little world out there. doesnt make eye contact with coaches when making calls or explaining things. shit call every time. he just wants the attention and today was his day

Arians should lose his starting position. He plays no defense. And he is not scoring. So, if we are not going to play a scorer, play a defender...if we have one.
 
Unfortunately, we just have the type of team that is good enough at times to beat anyone but also inconsistent enough to lose to anyone decent (we are not bad enough to lose to really bad teams, even at our worst). Some of this is because of a lack of consistent defense. We are always going to score points but are prone to losing when we shouldn't because we let the other team get in a rhythm and make shots against us.
 
When Manning complained and Valentine called the phantom foul on Crawford toward the end... So fucking predictable, such horrid officiating. All night long Valentine with his little hop skip, point at the player in excitement like he'd just found a dollar bill on the ground when he found some nitpick handcheck... Or like Woods "travel" outside the 3 point line. Ruining basketball.

There were, I believe 6 travel calls against WFU in the first half. Pivot foot violations.

Anyone who watches basketball knows that this could be called almost every possession in today's college basketball. Tonight, for a stretch, it was. Against WFU.
