Tonight's Trump Speech will be....

I think it will be a good night for Donald. I think he's going to talk broadly about an infrastructure plan (which generally will have support from both sides) and encourage Congress to work with him to pass it. He'll be reserved in front of Congress and while he'll say things that he normally would that Democrats will disagree with, he's not going to have any headliner statements like "they let Ryan down" or anything like that.

Of course trying to predict what Donald is or isn't going to do is almost impossible so.

Will he attack the press?

Will he go after the "do nothing" congress?

He's not going to attack the Congress to their face I wouldn't think. He can't help himself from taking pot shots at the press about fake news so I think he'll drop a couple anecdotes about the "stories" they're telling.

I'm interested in seeing how the Democrats react. They were talking on Boston Public Radio today (three hour segment on NPR) about "will there be a Joe Wilson moment or not?" It was an interesting discussion.

I think there will probably be a Joe Wilson moment.

I think Trump will be grim and bleak painting another dire portrait of America. When he is critical of his messaging, I think he means he hasn't effectively scared enough people.

I think Donald will he low energy. He usually gets himself in trouble when playing to his rabid crowds. They won't really be there tonight other than people like Gina Foxx. He'll read the prompters and stick to the message.

Media will praise how discipline he was by actually reading words that were written, and they will indicate it signals some long awaited pivot.

Then he will do a bunch of coke tomorrow morning and let his ID loose on Twitter.

I think that he will come out and try to give a normal speech, lose interest halfway through, get tired, then start rambling, which will in turn result in ranting and raving.

He will never give an epic speech. As pointed out above, if he is able to stick to the cue cards he will be praised by the talking heads for staying on message/pivoting, but really it's like praising a toddler for going potty for the first time -- "who's a big boy, Donald? You are, you're a big boy, you want ice cream?"

Baaad hombres, Fake news, Do nothing congress, i'm the best at ______

Drinking game. Should be fun

This. He is unprepared and incompetent. He will do that sniffing sound a lot and hold his finger up a lot. He will careen off the rails and ramble into nowhereland a lot. I am excited to watch the train wreck and will be watching with a bottle of $8 Italian red blend, and maybe some meats and cheeses laid out.

I'm looking forward to hearing about his historic electoral college win.

The one thing we can all predict with absolutely certainty is that the President of the United States will care more about the ratings this speech receives than almost anything that happens to him in his 5 day work week running the country.

I'm not sure why this hasn't been posted yet. Here is a leaked preview of his speech tonight.
