I'm not sure I understand allowing the run off, down 7 with 25 seconds left. It's low percentage but Manning had them literally quit.

I got no problem with Manning's demeanor. He is quietly intense. He is not a whiner. We lost games because we could not defend with our personnel. Not because of Manning's demeanor. Get some better perimeter defenders in next year and we can makes some gains on that side of the ball. If Woods makes 40% we probably win anyway.
 
The more I think about it, the more upset I get about the defense tonight. Our second-half D was [Redacted]-level bad. There's just no reason any P5 team should be that bad on D, ever. That has got to get fixed pronto or Manning is going to have some explaining to do.

Key Woods had wraps on both knees. One for the injury and the other for overcompensation.

How else do you describe his lack of performance?

Great observation on the 2 minutes he played all game and the whopping 68 minutes he played the whole season. Just what do you expect from a kid Manning refused to allow to play minutes to get experience during the season?
 
If we played 10 games against KSU, they'd win at least 7 of them. They were a "tier" better than us and basically outplayed us at every position. We were able to "hang around", but we never seriously threatened and never had a lead after the first few minutes. Score was closer than the game. Hard to stomach.

They are a good team. No special players, but they play solid defense and had a smart strategy against us. Thought they looked meh talent wise, but they got it done. Weber definitely took notes from our ACCT game against VT. Get physical and outwork us on the board for second chances.
 
Yeah I don't really get the people trashing K-State. They looked pretty competent to me.

I guess people are saying Cincy will destroy them are making themselves feel better thinking Cincy would do the same to us, but I think that will be a close, if unattractive game. K-state certainly is more battle tested having gone through the wars of the Big XII while Cincy has played largely no one for the last two months

I disagree - I think we win 6/10 against them. (i) No matter how bad our defense is, they aren't always going to make all the shots they made, (ii) our defense isn't usually THAT bad, (iii) Woods is not going to have games like that very often, (iv) I think our youth showed in the nervousness of our play - especially a lot of the turnovers in the first half.
 
Stokes did come up huge for them with some tough 3s. Frustrating since he hadn't been shooting well at all from 3 coming in

So disappointed that we don't get to watch the Deacs in the early game on Friday night. :(
