Berry vs Crawford

Why would you say that? Crawford scores more. Crawford averages 50% more apg with less talent around him. Crawford has a better a/to ratio. Crawford shoots better from the field and the FT line. Berry has a higher 3 pt %.

I say that because I have watched both play quite a bit. I love Crawford and at times he is spectacular; but he seems to zone out at times and can go for stretches with bad play after bad play. He can get to the basket but too often fails to finish. Berry is much less spectacular but makes fewer bad plays and finishes stronger at the rim.

Again, I think that BC can be better than Berry; but in terms of present performance, Berry is better now. At least that is my opinion.

Two points, we actually did make the tournament and with this reasoning you must think Ray Felton was a better PG than Chris Paul? I agree Crawford is bad on defense but that does not mean that Berry is a good defender, he most certainly is not. Plain and simple if they switched teams most would admit Crawford was aT LEAST as good as Berry, it is all about the name on the front of the jerseys

Wake didn't make the tournament. The play in games do not count, sorry. And yeah, Felton was a better college PG than Paul.

Lots of swings and misses on correlation/causality in this thread.

9/10, would read again.

Berry a bunch of bad games, too. He was 3-13 w/6 TOs against GT; 0-8 against Miami; in two games against UVA he was 6-19 w/5 a vs. 4 TOs; in the Elite 8 he was 4-12, 0-5 threes, 4 TOs v. 3 assists.

Like Craw he had a bunch of good games as well.

He had much, much more help and was less productive.

Paul was a better college point guard than Felton. It wasn't as obvious in college as it has been in the NBA, where Felton is lucky to be CP3's backup, but even in college it was obvious which one was a better player. Put CP3 on that UNC team and they would've gone undefeated.

BINGO! :)

Probably not, Paul hasn't really shown an ability to win at any level. He's a hall of famer and the second best player in WF's history but he hasn't accomplished anything for being as good as he is.

BC will pick-up his scoring next year, if needed. He deferred a lot this past year, IMO. I'd take BC all day!

If Crawford would just play within himself and not take any possessions off, he could be really really special.

The answer is CP3 was better than Felton, and Berry is better than Crawford.

December 20, 2003.

Wake at UNC.

Freshman, Chris Paul, hot mic right into your living room regarding Mr. Ray Ray Felton: "he can't guard me."

Also, a great game to re-watch and reminisce.

Either a lot of stupid or a lot of trolling in this post.

I think if you asked Chris he would tell you he'd trade college careers with Felton.

Keep in mind these are UNC folks you are talking about. Berry is the returning PG for the ACC and NCAA champions. Nothing else matters. End of discussion.

Also keep in mind that they are defending NCAA champs with their starting PG returning, a lot of talent plus a ton of top signees. So yes, it looks to me like another Final Four is brewing, at least on paper.

At least you've backed off from saying Felton was a better college point guard than CP. Would Paul like Felton's ncaa title (albeit fraud based), sure. Who was the better player? Paul.

I haven't though. Paul had more potential and obviously became a better player but he wasn't a better college player.

Paul played with 0 other NBA players on his team and led Wake to the #1 offense in both his freshman and sophomore years because he was already a Point God.

Once again, the 2017 season will officially go down as an NCAA Tournament year for Wake Forest. Sorry that the NCAA doesn't care about your opinion about the play-in game.

Also, your "Felton was better in college, but CP3 later eclipsed him in the pros" take is smoking hot. CP3 averaged 16 PPG and 8 APG during his rookie year. CP3 was the better player in college, but with a weaker supporting cast. Not sure why people try to overlook the fact that basketball is a team game.
