Pitching status is not good for WVU, they used only used two pitchers today but their their top six starters are likely excluded from pitching today (two out for the year, two used in starts in the last day and a half, and two used on Friday).

It will certainly be a committee approach, but Strelow says he thinks Myers will get the start. That's really really surprising since he threw 77 pitches on Friday afternoon.

for anyone in da area, should we expect the 7:05 start time to hold?

if they don't pitch anyone who threw this weekend they have no shot
 
I mean there's a clear cut difference between throwing someone who went 50+ and throwing a guy who got three to six outs. One days rest and 77 pitches can't be good for the guy's arm. I'd expect him to go 6-9 outs tops if he indeed gets the start
 
It's absolutely reckless to pitch a guy who threw 77 pitches on Friday

In all seriousness, I'm not saying it can't be done, I'm saying it seems like a bad decision. But the staff and Myers certainly know more than I do, so I'll yield.

yes, and shit like that (almost 300 pitches over 3 days) is a big reason we don't do a double elimination ACC tournament anymore

but given the chance between winning and protecting an arm...
