NFL Offseason Thread: 2018 NFL Draft

Lol, what about Brady is clearly in decline?

I guess you could maybe argue his mobility in the pocket? But that has been in decline for damn near a decade.

Weird thing to say, yeah. He's having one of the best starts to a season of his career.

Pretty clear the Cowboys ruined their chance at a tittle with that stacked offensive team by not going back to Romo. Dak's nothing more than a game manager.

that play on that 3rd and 6 was just good ol' fashioned game management

Very good stuff so far as the Cowboys offense has managed to score 3 TDs in their first 3 drives.

---------------

OBJ has a broken fibula. That sucks.

Browns, 49ers and Giants all gon draft QBs.

Jets are screwed

Todd Bowles apparently didn't get the memo from management to tank the team. Once they're like 4-8, I wonder if he'll listen to management when they tell him to put 1 of the 2 young QBs in. It's possible he could get fired for winning too many games.

Sure. But is it lame to penalize taunting? Is it lame to assess the penalty on the kickoff which doesn't really disincentivize taunting?

He does some impressive improvising with his feet johnny football style to create alot of stuff out of nothing, but not good from the pocket.

I'd be fine with pushing back the extra point 15 yards, but you can't take the points off the board because it was after the play was over. Agreed?

And taunting like that is a lot different than just celebrating a touchdown. No need to throw the ball at your opponent after you make a great play. Go wild in the endzone with your teammates, but leave the other team out of it.

If this ruling is overturned then that even proves my point about the NFL touchdown rule even dumber.

That is a touchdown because he had the ball across the 19 yard line before contact. That's all that matters on a touchdown, so why not in the middle of the field?

The NFL "breaking the plane of the endzone" rule is one of the dumbest in sports. Completely inconsistent with the rest of the game.

One would think we'd just put a fucking sensor in the football by now. Has no one in the NFL ever played Top Golf?

The break the plane of the endzone is one of the only rules they haven't fucked up and can still get consistently right
