Everybody on the CT is happy!

Except wfudkn the traitor!

Nah, I was all in on the Deacs yesterday. When the matchup was announced I thought I would be conflicted, but there was no question when it came down to it yesterday. And being able to talk shit to my dad and my brother was a nice bonus.

Ran my 1000th mile of the year today. Gonna get banged up tonight to celebrate (i.e., have drinks and watch Black Mirror on couch with Wife).

Seriously though, have folks watched the new Black Mirror yet? What are the favorite installments of this new season?

Confession: I've never really dug NYE. Gives me this weird, vaguely anxious feeling of time passing too fast, and also that vacation's almost over and I'm gonna have to go back to school/work soon.

only ~15 hours to get this chat thread finished by 2018

I believe in you, biff

I think Deac basketball and football were pretty much the only 2 good things that happened in the world in 2017. I'll also take the Houston Astros. Otherwise, it was pure shit.

1176 running and 1490 cycling. Not a bad year.

Got 5 to run in just a bit.

Today I learned a bad-ass Bible verse- Deuteronomy 7:10. "And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face." 2018 is going to be my year of repaying fools to their faces.

I guess I should mention how I learned this verse. A couple of summers ago, I visited my parents' church in Tennessee with them. During the sermon, the preacher would footnote whatever was said with a Bible verse. I couldn't figure out why this was done, because no one in the pews would have the ability to look up the Bible verse being referenced yet continue to listen to the message being delivered. So, throwing out that verse was superfluous and detracted from what was being said. An annotated sermon just seemed kind of showy. Ever since then, whenever family or friends get a little too self righteous about their piety (usually my mom and her sisters) or attribute normal everyday occurrences to a higher power rewarding them specifically, I throw out a random Bible verse. If they try to get political with it, my reference is always to "One Corinthians".

Anyway, today's verse was Deuteronomy 7:10.
