Danny Manning Credibility Watch

Collins became really good while at Wake. Consensus was that he was a 3* player coming out of HS. At what point did you think he was really good?

Some guys do bloom late.

More like Anny Manning. No D

Most of us looked at his mixtape and thought he was severely underrated.

Keats called TO up 12 after a State basket and let Al Freeman have it for playing lousy D on the prior possession. I'd like to see DM show that kind of emphasis on D and intensity. And what was up with Donovan Mitchell having to bring the ball up against pressure multiple times?

I will not be renewing my season tickets next year, nor will I attend anymore games until we have a new coach that turns this program around.

You lasted much longer than I did. I refuse to give one penny towards the program. I watch on TV or hit the record button, but I refuse to pay a single penny for this crap.

I sort of hate myself for even watching. The family keeps asking me why I bother. Old habits die hard.

If I ever stop watching, I doubt I would ever come back.

Wellman is a moron. People should curse him on sight until he leaves.

With the win today, Kevin Keatts has surpassed Danny Manning in ACC road wins 4-3.

The day he walked on campus. Greg Dortch was a 2*. So was Riley Skinner. Sometimes the “experts” get it wrong.

So who organizes the billboards, newspapers, twitter postings, and emails? I think we've gotten to that point.

How about we start a movement where everyone who passes Ron Wellman walks up to him and just says "Fuck You, Ron Wellman". Wherever he goes, the gym, out to eat, grocery store, all he hears all day long is"Fuck You Ron Wellman".

Might work better than the billboard. Could be cathartic for basketball fans as well.

I think it's pretty clear that Sarr, Mitchell and Brown have hit the freshman wall. I 'believe' based on some of their earlier flashes they are going to be much bigger contributors next year.

Danny has quite a few challenges, personally, as a coach, but anyone that thinks he's getting fired this year is completely delusional.

Of all the things Danny talks about it's contently defense. I can't tell if he believes it or is just saying the words (i.e. Skip). The problem is that 2 of our top 7 (MW and Woods) are a liability on defense. Most guards can shoot over Chill and Thompson doesn't really add much. Moore is big, but has yet to master a complete post defense game (while his offense has developed, the biggest plus on defense is he stopped fouling). Crawford should be better, but he's much more of a risk taker on defense, going for steals, on a decent defensive team that would be fine but it just exposes our poor defense. Brown seems to be the only guy that understands solid defense, but his play has not been consistent enough keep him on the floor.

I have hope that Manning will be a solid assistant for Wes Miller when he takes over for Roy at UNC.

Wilbekin got all of Brown’s minutes today. 1-8, 0-5 from three. Brown was 3-4 and defended. Wilbekin is Manning’s bitch and has been for 4 years.

Nah. I'm good. Have fun with that.

It may be the most Wake Forest thing ever that a non-freshman can hit the freshman wall.

The only thing Wake is good at is making up excuses that no one else ever considered. Tuesdays, the sophomore wall. Whats next, bad court lighting?

Prize to most creative new excuse for the season. AD employees not eligible.

We as a board banned the name redacted guy which I thought was appropriate, fun and was something that actually unified us a little.

I'd like to suggest we ban a phrase thats has been used over 20 times a day for the past 8 years.

(Next Year)....Wake Forest should trademark this effing term!

When will our fans demand results in the current year as opposed to pontificating about "next year"

Not sure this team is coachable. They have a great game, like GaTech, then return to the same old shit against State. Too many TOs and way to many 3's. No hustle and no defense. It has been the same old story all year. They just have made zero progress. I am sure Danny does not coach TOs and wild ass 3's

Georgia Tech lost by 20 at home to Va Tech yesterday. They're absolutely awful. That win meant diddly poo.

The reality is Craw is our only ballhandler. Chill panics when doubled and even worse he stops moving which is the worst thing you can do. Besides getting tied up, he makes passes to the wrong people and to those who are in bad positions to get the ball.

I'm kinds surprised more teams don't press us with a defense that prevents Craw from getting the ball.
