Official Trump Swamp Thread: Still Corrupt as Fuck

PEOPLE AREN’T BUYING IVANKA TRUMP’S CLOTHES IN STORES, SO NOW SHE IS TRYING TO SELL THEM ON HER WEBSITE

Shoppers interested in buying peplum blouses and sheath dresses from Ivanka Trump's clothing line no longer need to comb through the racks at TJ Maxx.

On Wednesday, the first daughter and top adviser to the president began selling the women's wear collection on her website for the first time, according to Bloomberg—just over a year since brands like Nordstrom, Burlington Coat Factory and Belk stopped selling the line.

Nordstrom dropped Ivanka Trump in February 2017, citing poor brand "performance" and waning sales. The store had also been the target of Grab Your Wallet, a campaign started by Shannon Coulter and Sue Atencio, two women who, in the wake of the Access Hollywood tape, announced a boycott on any company carrying Trump products. Coulter and Atencio declared victory when Nordstrom announced it would no longer buy from Ivanka Trump—and the president exploded.

Time to wrap this shit up, G.

Ain’t nothing been found except some low life lying Motherfuckers at the top of the food chain at FBI and DOJ

None of them rank and file officers or agents - just a bunch rank-assed lawyers in politically appointed seats.

Time for the Bum’s Rush for Comey, McCabe, Strozk, Ohr and more

Ignorance is bliss

How many official scandals do we now have in the Trump administration?

Based on a quick read, it seems like Pompeo hasn't promoted the lie, but he hasn't corrected it either.

In other words the fake news has been at it again?

Who knows? This is a situation in which seemingly legitimate sources would have wrong information.

Lobbyist whose wife rented to Pruitt lobbied EPA despite denials

The prominent lobbyist whose wife rented a condominium to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt lobbied the agency while Pruitt was leading it, contrary to his and Pruitt’s public denials that he had any business before the agency, according to a Friday filing by his firm.

The disclosure from the lobbying firm Williams & Jensen contradicts Pruitt's public statement last month that the lobbyist, J. Steven Hart, had no clients with business before the EPA, and comes hours after Hart’s resignation from the firm.

Hart announced he would resign from Williams & Jensen hours before the firm filed a disclosure showing that he lobbied the EPA for Smithfield Foods in the first quarter of 2017. While Hart, the chairman and former chief executive of the firm, has disputed that the contact he had with Pruitt and Pruitt’s chief of staff, Ryan Jackson, constituted lobbying activity, the disclosure indicates otherwise.

Lobbying industry on winning streak in the Trump era

Lobbyists are winning big under President Trump.

Although the first three months of 2017 was a busy time for K Street, the first quarter of Trump’s second year proved to be even busier.

Hot off the heels of Congress pushing a massive tax reform bill through, lobbyists were called in to work with lawmakers on fixes, in addition to working on burning issues in technology and trade.

Lobbying firms must submit reports on their earnings for the first three months of 2018 by Friday at midnight. Figures given to The Hill by a handful of firms ahead of that deadline show that K Street is continuing on an earnings streak that began when Trump entered the White House.

Many lobbying firms say that their earnings increases have been driven by a boost in work for existing clients, though K Street has also experienced an uptick in new clients as well.

What would you have done to Strozk?

This sums up Trump perfectly. If you didn't do anything wrong, why would you care if he "flips?" But if he does, he's lying, fake news, back to golfing at my resort at the taxpayers' expense.

This guy needs to go.

Pruitt once bought Oklahoma home from lobbyist: report

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt once purchased a house from a top lobbyist in Oklahoma with the help of a shell company, The New York Times reported Saturday.

Two business associates involved in the 2003 purchase are now aides to Pruitt at the agency: Kenneth Wagner, a senior adviser at the EPA, and Albert Kelly, who runs the agency's effort to redesign the Superfund program.

According to the Times, the home, which was seen as a prime property because of its proximity to the state Capitol building, was purchased for $375,000 from a retiring telecommunications lobbyist.

But that price was $100,000 less than the lobbyist, Marsha Lindsey, had paid for it just a year before. The shortfall, according to the Times, which examined the records, was picked up by Lindsey's company, telecom giant SBC Oklahoma.

The company, now a subsidiary of AT&T, lobbied on a number of matters including a deregulatory bill that would allow it to raise rates and an effort to reopen a decade-old bribery case. According to the Times, Pruitt sided with the company on both matters.

Pruitt, then a state senator, intended to use the residence as a place to stay while Oklahoma's legislature was in session. During this time, he also rented out a room to another Republican state senator, Jim Dunlap.

Wagner, who was a partner at the private legal practice where Pruitt worked, was a co-investor in the shell company that purchased the residence.

The mortgage on the residence was issued by a community bank run at the time by Kelly. Kelly was later barred for life from the banking industry by the FDIC because the agency had “reason to believe that [Kelly] violated a law or regulation, by entering into an agreement pertaining to a loan by the Bank without FDIC approval.”

The two now hold top positions at the EPA.

In 2005, the company owned by Wagner and Pruitt sold the residence for $95,000 more than it had paid just two years earlier.
