I think that NC State is tiers above Wake Forest right now. Competent coaching and leadership does that.
 
Who would have thought that a Calipari player's course transcript would have problems? Don't $100 handshakes count as finance courses? Isn't tweeting considered a 12 credit creative writing class?

Your wrong on that. Gotta be at least a grand to count as a financecourse . And tweeting is considered a computer literacy course. Get it right!!!!!!;)

There are a number of names we were in the conversation for at some point, but I haven't heard much about most of them in awhile. Anyone know where we stand with guys like Omar Payne (#49), Tyrese Samuel (#84), and Ismael Massoud (#86)?

Josh Nickelberry and Anthony Harris have mentioned us fairly recently it seems. Not sure if we are really in contention for either though.

You mean he dropped before he committed to Wake? Heaven help his rankings if he actually does so.

It's like Donald Trump hired Jenna Jamison as his press secretary and feigns ignorance and claims she has left that business behind. Possible? Absolutely. But almost always recruiting violations involve boosters and I have a difficult time seeing Keatts standing in front of a bunch of prominent boosters and declaring that he is going to do things the right way 100% - starting with a bunch of transcript waivers and juco transfers.

I sort of hope I am wrong. It would suck for State to eat it again and UNC to continue to dance over a 15 year rogue degree program but that is what I expect.

Remember, Keatts was the recruiting coordinator when the prostitution scandal took place at Louisville. If anyone believes that he knew nothing about where the recruits were spending every minute while they were on campus during their recruiting visits, then I have ocean front property for sale in Davie county.

Do you not know anything about how kevin keatts got to where he is? do you not know he was probably the primary reason that lousiville was doing what they were doing..state somehow in the running for top recruits...when they havnt ever really done that (legally).

Nope, I don't deal in unsubstantiated rumors. I would trade Manning for Keatts and throw in our entire recruiting class, plus a recruit to be named later.
 
Every time I read this thread I get discouraged. Looks like we are competitive is with 3 stars, projects, or post grad transfers who are not difference makers. As I've said before, I think DM's reputation as a recruiter is over blown,
