The Road to Damascus Animal League is planning an animal rights rally before the game tomorrow. I've linked their Facebook page here so more people can be aware. If they start creating a scene, then please alert security so they can be removed from the area. Hopefully, this will only be outside the stadium and they don't actually disrupt the game.

Our Athletic Department and security folks are aware but more eyes in the area and heightened awareness may limit what they are able to do.

It looks like Wake Forest is making baby monkeys wear unusual hats. I happen to be opposed to unusual hats which is why Churchill Downs is a no go for me.

Thank goodness neither team uses a live animal as a mascot.

Bud, just click the link. THat is how these things work and why they are provided. THe interweb is on the other side and the underlined part will take you there.

I wouldn’t call it a rally. Their Facebook page says they’re just planning on handing out flyers.

Sounds like it has the potential for litter and waste of paper resources.

I may be having a brain fart, but didn't animal rights protestors attempt to disrupt the Bowl Game against A&M by running on the field?

"For those unaware of our campaign, we are focused on pressuring Wake Forest University to end their cruel animal research especially their addiction research which involves drilling holes into the heads of monkeys and injecting their brains with meth and cocaine. These animals suffer tremendously and there is no reason why they should be tortured when better technology and humane clinical research on human volunteers is possible. Please join us and be their voice. We will hand out fliers and do outreach followed by a silent protest. Fliers and signs will be provided as well as food and beverages."

Nice those people are volunteering to have their heads drilled open and get free drugs.

Really changes the definition of coke head for me now. Thanks Wake Forest animal cruelty people.

Will they leave us alone if we stop drilling the monkey heads and drill Wellman's head instead? Seems like a fair trade to me.

Now, there's junkies with monkey disease
Who's touching these monkeys?
Please, leave these poor sick monkeys alone
They've got problems enough as it is

Are we actually doing that? Where are they getting their coke?

Yep, ~3 protesters ran onto the field during the Belk Bowl.

Probably using it in some research settings. Hospitals might use it in some surgical procedures. It’s a very good vasoconstrictor so it’s helpful in some difficult to clot areas. All cocaine supplies used for medical research and in hospitals comes directly from the federal government.

Tailgate party?

So they don’t care about all the trees that had to die to make their flyers? Hypocrites!
