2019 offical College Football thread

Turnovers on the last 3 possessions for the Ville. Playing a walk-on at QB right now.

Petrino has completely lost this team.

He just put in a QB who had never taken a snap in college. His first play was an INT. 37-7 in 1st half.

Is it in Varsity Blues where the players basically fire the coach and coach themselves? Louisville’s players might do that.

I still hold a grudge that we lost to those mouth-breathers in the Orange Bowl.

Kind of obnoxious that the play by play guy is criticizing Syracuse for continuing to run their offense and trying to score TD's. If UofL is still trying to score why shouldn't SU? Trying too hard to be controversial!

I mean you know Louisville’s talent is better than this, it’s a case of players not wanting to listen or play for a sorry human being.

That "play-by-play guy" went to Syracuse and Wake.

Was just reading the UL boards.
Many are expecting Petrino to be fired this weekend.
They've also confirmed rumors of many, many players requesting transfers.
They have majors problems that won't be fixed quickly.

Rehiring Petrino was an unbelievably bad decision. Louisville brought this disaster on itself. Then you have the basketball program.
They should not recover for at least a decade.

How many Louisville players requested transfers at halftime?

I think you're being hyperbolic. UL has been relevant in football for a decade now. 2 years ago they were in the playoff conversation with a Heisman quarterback, and they've had a lot of other NFL draft picks and bowl games. I dont think 1 terrible season damages the program that badly. If they make a good hire the next coach will probably have fast success.

Completely agree. Brohm could come in and keep players and recruits and land a few good players and they’ll be fine.
