I'm not really understanding the Cam hate. Cam despite the lack of a deep ball has had a great season this year.

For people looking to dump Cam, what is the plan to replace him at QB? Teams have spent 10+ years and not been able to get a QB as talented as Cam.

Question for Panthers fans: would you trade Cam straight up for a QB like Josh Allen?

Absolutely not. Trade Cam for two 1st and a 3rd and you could spend two 1st and a 3rd over the next few years on QBs who are nowhere as good as Cam. Cam is more accurate than he’s ever been despite breaking in two young WR and a young TE. Despite another patchwork line. Despite carrying the D in his back.

He’s arguably the best offensive player in franchise history and he’s only 29 years old. Hell no you don’t trade him.

He also can't pass over 15 yards. But yeah, gun to my head I probably agree with you after thinking about it.
 
is the surgery he needs actually supposed to fix things or just make it so it doesn't get even worse?

I agree with all of this, but I don't think it is arguable that he is the best offensive player in in franchise history. He clearly is.
 
I was trying to unite the fanbase. Clearly he is. This franchise has had shit for offensive players. Smitty is the only one who comes close.

We don’t run inside the tackles anymore because we haven’t been playing with leads.
 
I’m all for trading cam for two 1sts and a 3rd if we’re going to continue to use him the way we do. He’s not high on my list of guys to drop back on 3rd and 4th and 3 and throw a dime in tight coverage to win the game. He’s really high on my list of offensive weapons to get those yards running. But we don’t do that, and he’s a below average nfl passer these days. I get his stats have been great. Anyone can throw check downs to CMC. I love Cam and I have since the beginning. But I can’t keep watching this organization try to put a square peg in a round hole.

Without Question. Our defense has aged so much in the past 1.5 years that we need to rebuild it. Cam's been solid but he's not the type of Franchise QB who can carry a team on his shoulders.
 
CMC is averaging 5.2 YPC on the season and has only had more than 17 carries once all year (28 for 184 against Cincy). He had 10 for 106 against TB last week. It's just comically bad to not run him (and Cam) more.
