Wellman Retiring; Currie New AD

Manning is the reason Currie has this job. Of course he’s gone. That’s the main reason to announce Currie now as opposed to in May.
 
I'm not sure how anybody could think we would keep Manning after the massive multitude of rumors that have come out of the athletic department that he's already fired.
 
Busy day at work. Catching up now, my main takeaway is, "Wow, this WhatUTalkinBout Willis guy sucks."

Also, why can't I find this press conference on YouTube? The hell?
 
I could get a little hyped for head coach Childress in Cameron.

Was just at Noble’s with Currie. He’s super excited and extremely determined. I couldn’t stay long and had to leave early, so if anyone wants to talk to him head over there. Seriously. A few Deacon folks came over and spoke and he was glad to talk to them and was open and honest to all questions.
 
Naaahhh, no way in Hades Currie takes the job with a precondition of keeping that stiff of a HC around another year. What is so important to maintain continuity for one year? Not like we have an incoming class worth a damn and Brandon isn't transferring just because Daddy Dolph is out of a job. Plus, if they don't can his ass, you will lose the remaining 2,000 fans that are left!

This has probably been discussed but who has time to read 33 pages?

I read something that indicated/implied that Ron was forced to retirement because he would not agree to fire DM. Is that possible?
 
I really think that if the plan was to keep Manning they would have had Wellman blame the youth of this season and announce Manning would return next season before announcing the new AD coming in. Keeping an absolutely toxic basketball program the same as Currie's first associated action would be a great plan to ruin any hope & goodwill with the fans and non-mega donors.
