Not realistic at all. Manning will be back. Currie was undoubtedly part of this decision as the AD in waiting.

As many have pointed out, Curry is in this for the long haul. He will weather a brief storm in the next couple of months, then move on to football. This stance will not affect football season ticket sales, or the fan base’s adoration of Clawson. Then it will turn miserable for Curry in December and he will be poised to make a move next March. Even if we win a few more games, Curry will want his own guy—likely a better choice than this year with Curry not in total control.

I think Wellman had to retain Manning in the slim hopes he succeeds and his legacy is that Wake basketball retuned from the shit ditch he put it in, his ego won’t allow admitting failure on his way out.
