Really hard to believe clamoring to replace a coach of a team that entered the post-season ranked 3rd in the country. Advanced through the regionals and then the through the championship round to match-play over 25 of the best college teams, played as a tight of quarterfinal as is possible and then essentially finished tied for 5th in the country.
Understand that other than Oklahoma State and Stanford, there is no college program with WF's golf history, but it really is apples to oranges to compare WF's golf success in the 70s and 80s to today. Ships were unlimited and at most a handful of schools put any effort into winning at golf. Now, there are at least 40 programs (and probably more) that max out the financial commitment to win in college golf. Some of these programs have elite on-site golf courses which WF simply does not have.
