Games this weekend for Deacs on NFL rosters. Let me know if I'm missing anyone...
Thursday
Jets (Ryan Anderson, Greg Dortch) at Atlanta - both Dortch and Anderson are fighting for a roster spot. Dortch has gotten some great press over the past one/two weeks and looks likely to make the 53-man roster. Anderson is currently slated as the 4th-string center and not expected to make the roster.
Cincinnati (Jessie Bates) at Washington - Bates looks to build on his great rookie season, with high expectations (for him, not the team) in Cincinnati
Packers (Tommy Bohanon) at Baltimore - signed earlier this week, Bohanon is looking to make an impression. The two FBs already on Green Bay's roster are both out with injuries, so he'll get a chance to show he's worth a roster spot.
Raiders (Marquel Lee, Kyle Wilber ) at Arizona - Lee looked good last week against the Rams, and is currently slotted as the backup SLB. Wilber is currently not practicing due to a minor injury, tough news considering he's not projected to make the 53-man roster.
Friday
Tampa Bay (KJ Brent) vs. Miami - Brent didn't travel to Pittsburgh last week due to injury, and I haven't found a reliable update on his status. Brent isn't projected to make the final roster.
Bills (Kevin Johnson) at Carolina - Johnson had an excellent summer, and, per the Bills' official site, is on solid footing as the #3 CB for the Bills
Saturday
Texans (Duke Ejiofor) vs. Detroit - Ejiofor played in 12 games (plus the playoffs) for the Texans last year as a rookie, and was set to be Jadeveon Clowney's backup, but suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in May.
Rams (Alex Bachman, Matt Colburn, John Wolford) vs. Dallas (Joe Looney) - a game full of Deacs. Wolford is currently battling for the 3rd string QB (and/or practice squad), and looked sharp in his preseason debut. Bachman has made an impact in the preseason, but is far down the list of Rams' WRs. That said, he's also getting some time as a returner, so there's still an outside shot he has at making the final roster or practice squad. Colburn has a slim chance to make the 53-man squad. Looney is entrenched as the Cowboys backup C.
Sunday
Seahawks (Phil Haynes ) at Vikings - the Seahawks' 4th-round draft pick was placed in the PUP list in July from a sports hernia surgery. He won't play this weekend, but Pete Carroll mentioned last week that Haynes is making great progress and beginning to run and do some light drills. Not sure on the timetable for his return.
