Totally Unofficial 2019/2020 Premier League Thread (NWT)

Only caught the Everton second half, but lots of reasons to be optimistic. Keane is young sure, but so strong and looks good upfront. Hopefully he replaces DCL as the starter soon
 
On the train back to the center from west ham - Brighton. Fun game, great stadium. Good pies.
 
They just have way too much firepower and depth for anyone to beat them out for the league title this year. I know it's only the second game but they picked up right where they left off.

And this year's oscar for best "foul" in the box goes to Otamendi...

As a neutral (burnley fan), it is reallly absurd how much better the top 6 (And in case of City and Totnum top 3) are better than the rest of the league.

Definitely quite the double whammy with VAR + the rule change. The rule change being the way bigger problem but VAR leads to a bad rule being enforced
 
VAR is in no way at fault there. It's the rule. I also disagree with the announcer that it wouldn't have been a handball last year. He played the ball with his arm on a pass from 45 yards away. There's no excuse there.
 
wild that only 2 clubs so far have 100% records after 2 games and only 1 other could join them (Man United)

for comparison, 5 clubs had 100% records after 2 matchdays last season
