Is it fun to be so obtuse? Or are you literally that unaware?

Grocery store - Stores have ratings and/or sourcing policies
Farmer's market - Ask the farmer
Fast food - it's probably been raised in a shitty environment - decide if its personally worth it to eat it

i see.

so you personally trace the source of your meat before you eat it? or google for an opinion before a purchase? trust a grocery store sign?

Is there anything else in the world we can discuss ? Like maybe my annual prostate exam ?

I mean, we do the same thing as well. We don't eat a ton of meat, but when we do we'll buy a whole chicken and spend more for something that - yes, requires us to trust the grocery store sign that it was raised locally/processed better.
Will I still eat chick-fil-a occasionally? Yep. But otherwise, yeah - going to make sustainable decisions where I can. What a dumb thing to have to explain, and how sad that more people don't think that way.

I don't eat much meat anyways, but lately been having second thoughts on pork since pigs demonstrate higher-order intelligence than dogs and lots of other animals, even, apparently, three year-old children

As an owner of an almost three year old I can definitely believe this. you can pretty much say “ _____ is smarter than a three year old” and I’ll likely be on board. The critter has a huge lump on her forehead because today she went down the slide head first and smacked the ground with her face...dude...

Regarding meat options, chicken’s gotta be up there for most sustainable to raise.

Other than maybe insects. Maybe in the future GOP-created climate wasteland we’ll be having to do that but not yet.

Got my overnight oats in the fridge ready to go for the am. Get pumped!

Oh, Milhouse, I think you know where the meat you put in your mouth has been before it passes your lips. There's a whole section of it on the ol' porn hub; you're an ATM machine.*

Speaking of prostate exams, anyone have to deal with external hemorrhoids? This is my second. First one was 4 years ago. Easily the most miserable experience of my life. Need to get that fiber. Or, i suppose, consume less beer.

Then again had 2 beers tonight and the pain has subsided. Maybe I’ll be able to sleep tonight

I prefer to consume meat from animals that had a chance to walk/run/roam around for most of their lives before they were slaughtered. Some chance to feel happy.

And eggs from chickens similarly “free”.

Feels more humane. And, I like to imagine, tastes better.

You can skip the prostate exam unless you enjoy it. It’s not actually recommend, generally.

I had a really vivid dream last night that one of my students punched me in the eye. Then I woke up this morning with a swollen eye and cheek. What the fuck?

Wrong. My doctor soya this even use her fingers. She uses this probe that she puts way up my rectum. When she turns it on it vibrates for a couple of minutes. Then she does the semenalysis taste test. My prostate and other butthole parts are healthy.

I’m at my creative best in the morning. Working on a song called Sex Khakis. First line is:

We’ve all heard the stories of how the Druids invented cunnilingus.

What rhymes with lingus?

Bring us, Mingus, dingus, sing us spring us.
