Wake Forest Football Recruiting

I hope his aggressiveness is contagious. It is good to have players who are really nice guys but who strike fear in opponents in the aggressiveness of their play on the field. I have to believe that Cade did that.

Yep, we have had some guys who did that such as Nikita, Abbate, Curry, Bates etc

It is much less common to have that level of aggressiveness in guys who play offense. Most of the guys mentioned in the two quoted posts played defense.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Luke on the O-line.

He's a scrapper. I like...….a lot.

These vids are about 1 year old, correct ?

That #6 DL kid listed at 6-6 286 while Petitbon is listed at 6-3 285. Per that vid, the difference in size looks much larger. The respective heights look accurate but either #6 is really about 300 or Petitbon is closer to 265. Either way our guy has great strength and technique for a youngin'.

We should have plenty of room to add to the should we find interested prospects with 7 guys, if I count accurate and they all leave, in the portal- Newman,Bowers, Alston, McKinney, Walker, Jones and Heggs- nearly a third of a recruiting class.

And at least three have already announced new schools or made it very clear they are not returning to Wake.

At least he did the same with Auburn University and Raleigh University too.

And the two GA schools. Bet the kid has good intentions and needs some remedial Language skills like many of us did at 17. Better than Lake Forrest.

Needing remedial language skills or just trying to be cute even is besides the point, really.
It just looks like he doesn't know the actual names of his own "Top Seven" preferences to go to.

Again, not saying that's the actual case, just that it has odd optics as a tweet.

We are so sensitive. He will learn. Overall much less irritating than saying THE Ohio State University.

A modicum of internet research before posting would have identified his mistake. Oh well

It was the comment of UNC’s Miles Dorn that WF had no football culture in 2019. I’m thinking this concern for precise referencing of one’s name could reflect an aspect of the Dorn critique. I seriously doubt the Tigers of LSU or Clemson focus on such an issue or any of the top tier programs. And certainly at UNCCH they don’t care as long as you’re a talented athlete.

No one says that other than the idiots from Ohio that for some damn reason support that school.
The other other time it's said is by folks mocking the aforementioned idiots.

There's videotape out there somewhere of Stephon Marbury actually committing to "The University of Georgia Tech."
Hey Man. You of all people should know not to underestimate Georgia technology, Biff.
Number one in duct tape auto repair and jug-based orchestral musical instruments.

Maybe you have a point, maybe you don't.
But, I personally wasn't thinking about Dorn's idiot comments at all.
If anything, his tweet reminded me of gripe common amongst Kansas U. fans/alumnus where they're occasionally called the "University of Kansas" instead of the schools preferred name, Kansas University.

(And yes, I'm aware that Google/Wikipedia says "University of Kansas." I said *preferred*)
