History. The player (Whitter) who decommitted from 2020 was an early verbal and would have been one of the highest ranked guys in the class. He went to a top25 ranked school. Similar story for Brendan Clark. Two recent events lead to skepticism and cynicism.


He is almost certain to get other offers. Clawson's staff has a reputation for finding good players in the giant 3* pile.
 
The fact of the matter is that this fan base can be it's own worst enemy. So much negativity, deserved for Manning, but keep those vibes away from the football program, soccer, etc. Not every part of the Athletics Dept. is doomed to fail.
 
It will be interesting to see where Ellison ends up playing. Probably two years before we have a good idea.
 
I hope his aggressiveness is contagious. It is good to have players who are really nice guys but who strike fear in opponents in the aggressiveness of their play on the field. I have to believe that Cade did that.
