I've literally never been to a well run Burger King. Blows my mind. I worked fast food for a large part of my young life, including managing a Bojangles, so admittedly I'm more attentive to poorly run places than your average dipshit consumer, but every Burger King has poor aesthetics, customer service, food quality, etc. I don't understand how so shitty a franchise remains profitable.

never find myself eating fast food, but is BK worse than, like, Krystal or White Castle?

also, am I wrong that White Castle has had vegan burgers for years now?

Also some of you have clearly never been to a Popeyes haha. Good chicken but they are hands down the worst run franchises.
 
I can't recall the last time I even saw a WC or Krystals. And I know haven't eaten at either since the late 90's,

Krystal and White Castle are a separate sub-genre of fast food burger that shouldn't be compared with the big national burger chains. You either go for Krystal and White Castle, or you don't.

BK should be compared with McD's, Wendy's, Hardee's, Carls's Jr. and behemoth shit like that.
 
I don't have a lot of experience with Popeyes, but the one that used to be up Rhode Island in that sketchy shopping center that's going to become the Alamo Draft House was pretty nice. It was surprisingly clean and the staff was friendly. The one in Logan is less nice, but I didn't notice any glaring deficiencies the time I went in.

The only Krystal I ever get to go to is just north of Gaffney, right off of I-85, in a co-location with a Circle K. Unfortunately my family hates it and it's not far enough from Charlotte for a needed pit stop. They're still going strong in Georgia tough.

I actually agree the ones in DC aren't terrible, though they're notoriously bad throughout the South. I guess that guy did get stabbed at the one in the suburbs during the Chicken Wars of 2019.
 
Looks like there's a Krystal in Commerce, GA, right next to the I-85 interchange, but that's a fucked up busy exit with outlets and shit.

ha I've been to that one. I was driving home one night from the beach and kept seeing Krystal on the exit signs. Hadn't had it since I was a kid and thought why not. Then I remembered why I hadn't been since I was a kid.

Out here Hardee's is Carl's Jr. Their burgers suck and are expensive.

I know some will get upset, but I think In N Out is grossly overrated. Their burgers are small.
 
I've only been to InNOut once (in Vegas) and I thought it was totally fine, but not amazing. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I prefer both Shake Shack and Five Guys.

In n Out is good but it's not mindblowing. I'll get it if convenient when on the West Coast but I'm not driving across town specifically for it.
