2020 Democratic Presidential Primary

Yep, you are such a hypocrite and wuss that you cried about something that suckered you. Like most bullies, you whined when you were treated the way you treat others.

I thought we were play acting the next debate if Bloomberg goes on stage. :)

I actually don't believe Bloomberg wants to be on the stage at the debate. There's no real upside for him. As of now, his entire narrative is what he wants it to be. By interacting with the rest of the candidates, he'll have to answer for his past and for trying to buy the nomination. By not debating, he avoids the direct confrontation.

Given how well his ads have done, I have to think not debating for as long as he can is his plan.

Junebug has threatened to send people to other people’s offices or to contact their employers?

So you trolled me by getting yourself banned?

Could you troll me again please?

No please we must thank you again. We couldn't possibly show your true color any easier or more equolently than you have this morning.

You can't deal with RJ on an intellectuals or class basis. So once again you pull this. We LOVE it!

Your buddy Stickland gets PWNED and you have to cover for him!

THANKS AGAIN!!

Meet NEW bosess! Same as OLD bosess!

I posted this not really to make an issue of Bernie Bros, but to note Bloomberg's campaign strategy is largely focused on bluster and not substance. All he is doing is using his enormous wealth to grab a lot of attention and criticize Trump while all the other candidates are mired in discussions about policy and how to pay for it. There are definitely two America's and one of them doesn't care about information and specifics, just bluster and entertainment.

unfortunately, Bloomberg's Obama ad seems like it could be pretty effective, especially in light of Obama's lack of endorsement for Biden

I've stated I oppose what Bloomberg is doing many times. However, the abuse Bernie Bros routinely heap on others on social media, bringing a casket to a Biden event and even here shows a definite pattern that could be very harmful to whomever is the Dem nominee if it's not Bernie.

It's not one renegade Bernie Bro. It's not like many didn't stay home last time. There js and has been a culture like this from Bernie Bros for five years or so.

What I don't get is why other campaigns hadn't hired some of the people who are putting out the Bloomberg ads months ago. It's not like every campaign didn't know who they are. It's not a large universe of political ad experts.

Like you said, as much as we don't like Bloomberg, no one can deny the talent of those running his campaign and producing his media.

Bloomberg is paying his staffers so much that other campaigns can't afford them.

I want to pull my hair out every time I see that ad, which is all the time. (But I agree that it is likely to be very effective. I wonder how Obama feels about it.)

Besides his money, the best thing Bloomberg can provide the DNC after he loses is his PR staff. They are in a different league than everyone else's.

I don’t understand the need for these political ad consultants? There are no like holy shit that ad put out is some next level thinking. They pretty much all follow the same old formula. Like you could spend an hour of your time and brainstorm better ads. Even the Lincoln project ads people post on here that are supposed to be amazing attacks are pretty meh, oh look they put together a bunch of scripture that’s in direct juxtaposition to all the bullshit trump says while falling out the evangelicals as hypocrites, fuck how did they ever think of that. Besides massive ads aren’t even that effective anymore, micro targeting it where it’s at.

The Obama ad isn't effective because it's a spectacular ad, it's just a clip of a former president praising the candidate. It'll be effective because (1) Obama is very popular among Democrats; and (2) Bloomberg is spending so much money airing it that it's impossible to avoid.

I know Pete and Warren could run similar ads. I’m sure he’s praised Bernie and Amy at some point too. But #2 is the problem.

I grant you that no one has had the budget Bloomberg has had, but Bernie, Warren and Pete have each had tens of millions to spend over the past six months and haven't come up with ads like Bloomberg has. It's not like they have been penniless.

They could have easily afforded $50-100,000/month to hire an ace ad person or two. The person/team creating the message is the most important person to any campaign. Without that person, even the best candidate won't win. I know that sucks, but it is reality.

Klobuchar is finished.
