I don’t know dude. Word is the Beilein left $12mil on the table out of pride and personal happiness. It happens. I can honestly say that if I’d already made 10s of millions in my career and then found my self in a supremely crappy job where no matter what I did I failed and they really wanted to fire me but couldn’t, I’d come to the table willing to negotiate. Give me $1mil per year for 15 years and agree to keep paying my wife or kids if I died before the end of the 15 years and I’d definitely walk away.
 
Trump didn't call the Corona Virus a hoax, he said the degree to which it was being blamed on him by the Democrats and the fear they were presenting was a hoax to pull votes. You may not like Trump and although he has numerous short comings and shady business dealings, as 90% of politicians do, he has actually done more for business and the economy by restructuring trade agreements and relaxing tariffs than many other presidents before. I like winning and I think he has made America a winner again and I think RJ and other liberal snowflakes on here can suck it! I LIKE WINNING

In the 70's Wake was the top ranked (USN&WR) regional university in the southeast. And it was by a very big margin over #2.

Wake maintained that position until the transition to the National University category. Ranking in that category has been consistent, about where it is today.

ETA:
Back then Wake accepted JuCo students, maybe 100 per year, and the credits from JuCos. So they arrived as full fledged juniors.

US News rankings started in 1983, so I'm unclear how Wake would have rankings in the 1970s.
