Tiger King Mafia - Starring Joe Schreibvogel - GAME - CIVS!

What was the RB rationale night 9 instead of just jailing someone mafia? That was why i ultimately went eagles. It made no sense that an RB would be left.

They were throwing anything at the wall to last another day.

Also, I firmly believe that you can't hit and use a power in the same night.

I didn't feel bad for Eaglez. It was in his role.

eagles was incredible the last 3-4 days

i need to change my civ play style if im ever going to be good as mafia again

gooner played v well as cop. he wasn't even on our radar.

was da a vanilla civ? what a weird game from him but maybe i cant read him because he is indy every time there is an indy role

your normal civ game is very hard to duplicate convincingly as mafia

Yeah he did a great job. I think I would’ve voted Tejas if not for that last night RB. It made no sense whatsoever to me.

we had to hit that last night to get it to 3-1. so then the question was why wasn't there a jailing from eagles that night. only option was a roleblock or a busdriver on mafia.

i lied last game d1 and it was +EV for civs. take your black and white and shove it

Addressed that in the game thread - you knew your lie would be resolved immediately so it creates no issue for the town. Numbers' lie lingered into the endgame like a hard-boiled-egg fart in closed car on a hot day. Maybe results-oriented because if Numbers had been hit it would've resolved.

The claim didn't even feel real though is part of the problem. Vague promises of powers were not enough to draw the hit (obv). So the vague nature of it just made it seem more terrible from a civ pov.

Eagles really turned it on at the end. Jedi mind tricking everyone remaining.

The number of times my reads post got mentioned/quoted was funny because I put Eagles in the maybe category and then followed it up after his horrible night reads with saying he was mafia. Then I died. But no one ever went back to the follow up post and instead just kept looking at the initial reads post.

Also, none of the civs remaining ever went down the line we were screaming in dead chat. Why would mafia leave a claimed civ special with every other night powers alive long enough to use said powers?

I understood this but I was still surprised you went for the hero play there. Thought that you guys would jail QT/GAT and try to play it off again like when you did it to redwing. Neither was a good option, but totally get wanting to get it to an endgame as soon as possible. Almost worked too.

That line was my entire early day 7 or 8 thinking but then i spent too much time thinking and listening to Eaglesception.

If Damo is mafia, Nonny isn't. Eagles also isn't.

If Damo is a civ, then we gotta lynch Eagles at some point.

Agree.

Bro, your #85 and #87 are manufactured dogshit. And if Damo comes up bad, you're just dickriding the dickstep.

#309

Damo came up mafia, but he was a traitor, which means mafia was to treat him as a civ.

For me, Rommy and Eagles riding the Damo dickstep train was a stretch by players who wouldn't have stretched that direction if they were civs.

The end game just doesn't do justice to how amazing Eagles is. The odds he was against were insane, and he still had a dog in the fight. Not only does he have to play the game, but he has to play with/against his legendary status.

It must be absolutely maddening for him.

His epicness is why even a tiny fray in an entry can/should/could spell doom for him. He's playing a different game, and the bar is just so much higher because of it.

Kudos, Eagles.

For those of you not burnt out, the late game mafia this week has 1-2 more slots (game starts this afternoon) and the LOTR mafia next week has a few more as well.

Knight and rommy dikriding eagles lowers the difficulty a little for him but he does get a lot of scrutiny overall which makes it a tough road to hoe.

We have not yet punished dv7 enough in this postgame for the Knight vig.
