Because it was straight dogshit as a claim.

1) you had the random fits and starts about what the role really was "OH YEAH I FORGOT THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT THE RING DERPY DERP"

2) Bilbo had fuck-all to do with LOTR aside from the mithril sex vest

3) Frodo did all the hard fucking work while Bilbo smoked the Halfling's Weed and chilled out with the dirty elven girls

It’s something that will come with time. I’ve struggled to get from “guy with good reads” to “guy with good enough reads people listen to”. But a big part of it is just trusting your gut. Look at how many people followed Knight and Rommy’s leads because they project confidence.

People need to play more with you and be able to read you, imo, before they will vote with you.

That's the hard part of the whole thing. Like the people i can read, i trust when i read them civ. The people i can't read, i have a hard time trusting and following. And i don't even need to be 100% sure. I just need to have a 60/40 i think this person is civ.

lol you are climbing quickly, the ranking reflects mostly your inability to play as mafia so far. If it were purely a civ ranking you'd be way higher.

this is ever-evolving. And Tejas touched on it (well I did in response to him) but I think the deac/nondeac thing is over. We have a really good core of players from several colleges, as well as ph and a few random fucktards. But this is a great group overall

I noticed this when I quickly threw together those "rankings" in like 5 min. We go about 20 deep of players that are legitimately decent at this game and a few others more that are good when around and actively trying. Makes it a lot of fun.

So just to be clear civs could have won without destroying ring if they eliminated all mafia right?

I agree on near-zero. I think its tempting as mod to include these kinds of things but they basically never pan out. I've decided to overcome this in places where i want some interaction by allowing multiple searches (submit 3 names). But i very rarely include those in games anymore.
