Which Republicans aren't cruel, Brews?
Thanks for proving my point.

Cotton held up the nomination the ambassador to the Bahamas until she died because she was friends with Obama.
I don't think he'll be the guy because he's too much of a doofus, but he's absolutely a piece of shit..
Thanks for proving my point.
He speaks like a mortician and has the charisma of a C-SPAN narrator but he is smart. Really smart.
I'm not surprised by much, but Brews outing himself as a conservative donk in this climate is a bit surprising to me

Smarter than Paul Ryan, would you say?
I don't know much about medical research, but if this study is accurate it would seem to be really good news that asymptomatic people aren't as infectious.

Demographics keep working against Republican candidates, particularly hardcore conservatives who have gotten into bed with Donald Trump every 4 years is going to make their path to the WH more difficult.
Brews has always been conservative. This isn’t a surprise.
It still blows my mind that Republicans demonize anti-fascists who only show up to be against fascists.
I’ve been hearing for a decade that demographics are turning against Republicans, and yet they keep winning. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I've always had a healthy skepticism of the effectiveness of the Federal Government but one line in President Obama's first inaugural address has stuck with me:
"The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works."
The Federal Government right now is not working in the midst of arguably the worst crisis in our lifetimes. It could have worked. It should have worked. We know why it didn't and hasn't, because there's someone who takes "No Responsibility at All" and doesn't care to make any mistakes trying to fix it.
So as i've get older and started to tally up all of my beliefs and I believe "Hey, having no Federal response to a Pandemic and being proud of it is bad" but also think "Yes, clearly we need to fix the looming threat of Climate Change" and also believe that 'black lives matter why is that a debate" and that "you shouldn't be discriminated against because of your sexual orientation or gender" and all sorts of other stuff that is considered a Democratic position when they shouldn't be I can't really tell you what I am.
I still hate taxes, I guess? On the other hand, Jeff Bezos having a trillion dollars with no counterbalancing forces sounds like a shitty idea too.

One reason they win is simple voter suppression. The demographic changes will take hold over the next two decades as the old boomers die and majority-minority under 18 cohorts are voting. I don’t see any evidence that Gen X and Millennials will become more conservative as they get older like Boomers did. Boomers were very impressionable and Reagan and Fox News did a number on them.
This crisis may accelerate that change by increasing mortality among 70+ and poking more holes in conservative orthodoxy.
