Getting rid of Strick is nice but rj is still the absolute worst part of these boards. And the contract was fully guaranteed.

I stand by what I posted earlier, although now I’ll grant you that you have confirmed a first tier source. I remain unconvinced that your source is better than Goodman’s or BabyDeacs, mainly because the large buyout explains the long delay and we will never know the number.
 
For a year RJ has been telling anyone who would listen Goodman's $18M($15M) numbers were bullshit. And it came true

From what I've been told from my source, Goodman is wrong just like he was wrong about our coaching situation this Spring. Doesn't his being wrong this year have any impact? Goodman isn't a guy with a lot of Wake history. If his info was as wrong as it was recently, why wouldn't he be as wrong before?

BabyDeac and I have discussed this. We may not be far apart, but it would be far less than Goodman.

Still waiting for a response to see what isn't clear about the above. The terms laid out required RJ to prove that he had a direct conversation with a source (i.e. not funneled through another person) and that confirmed that the initial buyout was 50% or less of the reported $18 million. So far, RJ has failed to produce evidence satisfying either prong and therefore faces an IP ban. I propose that we give BabyDeac 24 hours from his initial post to confirm or deny, and then the mods will proceed with the ban.
 
I'm also getting the feeling that this text screenshot may have been forwarded to RJ from a friend (i.e. he did not communicate directly with the Pier 1 source).
 
no one is or should get banned over this. RJ didn't prove what OGB is asking for above, but he never agreed to get banned on those terms. He did prove that he has a good source. I vote we let this go and let this thread die.
 
how about we just ban all talk about Danny Manning, the terms "DFL" and "paint touches," Goodman, and the buyout or lack thereof

So it was the high end of my "guesstimate". That would make sense give his base was about $2-2.3M. That would make the $8M logical after the threat of going to court.

RJ, can you just confirm if you texted directly with the Pier 1 source, or if you received the text forwarded from a friend? Helps complete the narrative imho.

But thanks to you and others for proving that even after the person the group chooses for verification that's it's not enough to admit the name calling and character insults over the past 15-18 months was unwarranted and wrong. Keep blaming me for your behavior. It's so becoming.

I have nothing left to prove here. I've proven my information and I've proven that none of those who have treated me so poorly have any class or manners.

Wait, WTF? Was this directed at me? I've believed you from the beginning (despite my Breaking Bad gif to stir the pot), as I thought Goodman's numbers were wrong. Just asked a clarifying question re: the source.

But my position stands. I've done more than I needed to do. There will always be a "but" and I understand it.

It doesn't matter whatever you've posted about in the past. If you say anything rj could construe as negative towards him (like disagreeing with a position or asking him to clarify) then it means that you have been part of HUNDREDS of vicious personal attacks against him.
