Obama was a once in a generation candidate that simultaneously drove turnout across the country while also investing his massive war chest into state-wide initiatives in the Midwest which helped target suburban and rural areas. Still plenty racist. I didn't say Clinton ran a great campaign - her failure to shore up support in the Midwest and spend significant time there down the stretch is likely her greatest shortcoming - but let's not pretend like there's some big mystery as to one of the major reasons why Clinton had low support in rural areas.
 
Am I remembering correctly that in 2016 some of the information stolen by Russia from the dnc was their plans for the Midwest? It allowed russian interference to old those same areas with misinformation.

Trump cares so much about his biggest supporters he literally left them out in the cold through negligence and poor planning. What else is he lying abiut for his own benefit if he won't ensure his supporters are safe? <cough> covid19 <cough> global warming<cough> pops doesn't care though, grand kids be damned. At least thats 30 busses tax payers didn't pay for... i guess? Oh wait, he just passed the cost on to the state. Again.
