Gerald Ford lost as an incumbent as well, but he assumed office after Nixon resigned. Woodrow Wilson, who sought a third term, and several Presidents in the 1800s failed to win their primaries.
 
The networks need to just call this and end it, the longer it goes on and more dragged out it goes the more potential for Trump psychos to do something crazy. It’s why all the media is the same, just make that money, get those clicks, when you just need to be a stable news source.

Grover Cleveland also lost the general election after winning the Presidency. Let's hope Trump doesn't follow what Cleveland did in the next election after his loss!

ETA: Benjamin Harrison also lost the general after winning the Presidency.

Why would not expect that? Donald Trump received more votes than any other Republican presidential candidate in history. The people love the guy. Pubs trying to run away from him will have to walk it back before they start building their war chests for 2022.

To be fair to me, at least 10,000 of those are probably in mafia or mafia-adjacent threads, the remainder fighting with you fine people here on the Tunnels. And like 100 on the sports board trolling dv7 about Manchester United sucking.
 
It will be pretty interesting to see who the next GOP nominee will be. I’m doubtful it will be Haley. the day After Romney lost, Jeb Bush was the most likely candidate for 2016. Only thing I’m comfortable predicting is that the GOP primary will be ugly.

Trump is a COVID recovering drug addict. I have a hard time believing his health holds to 2024. I suspect he will be dead by then.
 
As disappointing as the down ballot races were for the Democratic Party, at least we accomplished our goal of defeating the entire gop convention platform.
