I also never even ran a sub 4.8, even hand-timed. So I'm probably kinda jealous.

I once was fast but now am slow

Please consult wakephan09 for my best times, I have forgotten them

My best 40 time was a 4.67 when I was in high school. This was in full pads, hand-timed. I'd probably run a 5.2 right now.

Who are/were the fast people around here.

I was always slow but very quick. I had a great first step, lateral movement, great hands and better than average hops (quick second jump, could dunk rebounds and occasionally on a break-only 6'1). Until I was a little north of 60, I could still put my whole hand on the backboard. That's gone now.

Yeah, but you're a healthy, in shape 40 year old and I'm a slow, fat, lazy 32 year old...So I'd rather be you than the guy who ran a slightly faster 40 time 16 years ago but can't run a half mile today without sitting on a park bench for a few minutes to catch my breath.

Damn RJ. You still in any adult leagues? Can you stroke the J?

can't say i've ever timed myself running outside of gym class or what the treadmill says, tbh.

Two miles in 12 minutes on the Cooper Test for high school soccer.

I fucking hated the Cooper. My club coach made us run it quite often (especially when he was mad at us), and we held our practices at your alma mater (IIRC you went to Broughton and my club coach was the coach there), so I know that track well.

My wife went to The Broughton School.
