Official 2020-21 NBA Finals - Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Championship!

Suns now 17-3 over their last 20 games — yeesh

abdel nader is a REVELATION

he is still super spazzy (are we still allowed to say that word?) but actually channeling it for good

I think we just use "high energy" instead.

yeah, it's fun that the East has five teams that could plausibly win the conference for the first time in a while

but the Nets, whew

feel like you have big offense problems if you're playing Simmons, Matisse, and Embiid together for long stretches -- I guess you have Tobi and a shooter out there (Curry?)

it's gonna be fun

are the Xers linked to anybody at the trade deadline?

This is a good plan. But Kyrie and Joe Harris can beat you.

I think the Lakers and Nets are clear favorites, but the right matchups could yield some good series. The Sixers definitely would give the Nets the most fits. The Bucks could be a problem for them on paper, but we haven't seen them show up in the playoffs.

Based on Biden's May 1 projection, the entire league will be able to be fully vaccinated before the playoffs. I know Silver said they weren't mandating vaccines, but I think there will be heavy pressure on players and personnel to get vaccinated so they won't screw up the playoffs. We could even see full arenas at least by the second round.

yea in reality Matisse is not ready to start in the playoffs, he's still a mess offensively (though he looked like an all star last night). he can give you great second unit minutes. i think it's about reducing the minutes that are needed beyond him and Dwight and Shake off the bench really.

Sixers are linked with Lowry, juice. Kind of a waiting game at this point.

oh nice -- full circle on a Nova guy would be sweet

what's the asking price?

Shake is a lot of fun, but seems pretty inconsistent, same with Matisse and Maxey

but that's why the playoffs are great -- dudes like that step up sometimes and it's great

apetit’s surprising(?) fact of the day: leaders in 2pt% are almost always guys like shaq and deandre jordan. this year so far it's jarrett allen, last year was mitchell robinson. always a center. EXCEPT in 2002 when former slam dunk champ BRENT BARRY led the league in 2pt FG%.

also interesting (but not surprising) how the leaders used to be around 60% (barry led the league at 59%) but now it's up to around 70%.

i think getting lowry would give the 'Xers a fighting chance against brooklyn.

i guess the latest as of this week is that lowry might be staying in toronto for the rest of the season

other names out there: Will Barton, Patty Mills, Delon Wright, George Hill, PJ Tucker

The Sixers would have had to niclude Danny Green, Mike Scott and another contract to equal Lowry's. I'm sure they'd do that. I wonder if the hold-up was a 1st Round pick to rent Lowry for two months.

If you look at this year's draft, the question becomes, would you trade a low rotation player going forward for a much better chance to win a championship?"

the answer is yes

i mean if the deal was danny green, mike scott, and tyrese maxey for 2 months of lowry the answer might still be yes

Lowry would be a huge get and the Sixers should definitely do it. It’s a lesser version of the Raptors getting Kawhi except the Sixers have a good chance of keeping him.

To make the numbers work. it might have to be :

Green
Scott
Ferguson or Bradley
Poirer

Probably moot now because the talk seems to be that Lowry is staying

In Morey I trust

Isn’t there a limit on how far out you can trade picks?

Either way I like Diallo

I think (hope) it's 2027.

Anybody know how to mess with the locations on the NBA app? I'm blacked out for Magic-Spurs because of Sinclair.

Think you’ve gotta get on a VPN or otherwise do some location spoofing

Embiid fucked his knee

Hope he just hyperextended but he’s in a lot of pain

The one I use to get around FoxSports to use the ESPN app doesn’t work on the NBA app.

i think zach lowe or kevin pelton suggested that the hornets try to trade terry rozier for lonzo ball for a two ball backcourt

1. who says no?

2. is this actually a good idea?

i have a VERY strong opinion on this but am curious about what others think
