It's not that the subscription models are draining, it's that I've got a plethora of free subscriptions that are all designed to incentivize me to use their app as the preferred app, so I need to switch between them constantly to best take advantage of all the free shit.

You should order directly from the restaurants. These apps absolutely gouge places that are already making limited money.

Buy nice or buy twice.

I just bought a bunch of UA underwear that is a massive step up.

Bro yes on the UA underwear. I wore target brand for the last couple of years but recently overhauled my drawer after picking up a pack on sale just to try high class underwear. Caught a big sale on UA’s website with a lot of pairs for $10 + I had a 10% off code. Couldn’t resist.

Agreed, but 99% of them don't have their own delivery service like a pizza place.

I’m drunk off Knob Creek, sitting by the fire and feeling nostalgic. Just watched our wedding highlight video (from June 2019) and it feels like being transported to a different period in history. Supposed to attend some rescheduled 2020 festivities later this year post-vaccination and damn is that going to feel weird as hell.

When your wife asks you what you are doing, stop at the part that you were watching your wedding highlight video. Stop there and get some points.

Why are people so lazy that they can't drive a mile or two to get takeout ? You're not going to get COVID picking up dinner.

Haha she knows exactly what I’m doing. She’s in the midst of a 12-week professional development course that meets from 6-9PM on Monday nights. Obviously I appreciate the initiative but that leaves precious few options for entertaining myself at the moment.

I'm a poor with a one car household and I don't get the car. Even if I had the car, parking in the downtown area of major cities ain't easy.

I totally get that scenario but anyone else just seems lazy.

It's a gig economy though. If you can bill your #clients out at X, what does X have to be to make you not want to spend 20 minutes driving to pick up take out.

Man I relish the chance to pick up takeout. Having a task involving delicious food that gets me out of the house and some alone time in the car? Fucking sign me up.

It might’ve been BBD but whoever gave high praise to Serious Eats’ Brown Butter Shortbread Cookies wasn’t lying. I’ve made them a handful of times since the holidays and can’t get enough.

Making chocolate chip cookies right now, trying the toasted sugar used in the shortbread cookies.
