Oh my gosh! You can't make this stuff up. Mannici gets two outs, but then serves up a HBP. And now with a runner on first, the next batter hits another home run. 11 to 7.

So the program near the bottom with us, who has no home field, no pitching lab, and no where near as highly lauded pitching staff, wins game 3 with their closer Johnson holding us scoreless the final 3 innings, and taking the series.
 
Unless we damn near win out, Walter has got to be done after the season.
 
That said, I hope he hangs around the athletic department in development.
 
Walter did a horrible job managing the pitching staff this weekend. Our closer pitched .1 innings in a complete non leverage situation after pitching 1 inning last week in a complete non leverage situation because he manages our pitching staff like it's a professional staff and it isn't it's a college staff with freshman which requires flexibility.

According to his bio on godeacs.com, he signed an extension through 2024.

Deacs are in 13th place, out of the ACC Tournament as of today.
 
Hey you media guys in here who ask him questions after every game on YouTube, how about asking some non pussy questions that aren’t batting practice fastballs!!??? Like are you worried your job is in jeopardy? Why do you lose every year? Why don’t you recruit good athletes? Why are you such a nervous wreck in your managing style? Why do you have no relationship with your players? Beats asking what happened in the 7th inning of some game that doesn’t mean shit because of historic mediocrity. The O’Neill guy and les John’s.
 
I can watch the broadcast myself and read Twitter to know they suck. This forum should be more about changing a trend tk losing and ideas to fix things more than just a synopsis of every inning. Feel me?
 
State run media questions serve no purpose other than to distract from the real reasons they lose year after year. The players change but the coaches and culture remain.
 
Simple nice question to ask in the postgame:

"I've noticed you pull a pitcher out when he seems to be performing fairly well for an inning or two and is in no trouble. Yet, you replace him with another reliever who immediately gives up walks, PB, WP, HBP, runs, or home runs. This is very noticeable in several games. Can you explain your reasoning why you replace the pitcher? Do you talk to him in the Dugout between innings and he says he doesn't want to go on or doesn't feel comfortable going on, sore arm, or something like that?

Solid question for sure. All they ask now is dumb stuff that anyone with a brain watching game can figure out. You can tell Walters demeanor is souring and I love it. Get him out

Just classic:

That’s just not what we need.”

will be interesting to hear what he has to say whenever the games start getting meaningless. Up to the media people to put the heat on and deservingly blister him.
 
The "media" is going to place some sort of intense pressure on Walter when 10's of fans are even paying attention much less concerned?

WFU is working hard to bring basketball back from the depths of apathy. I actually watched parts of several games this year. I hadn't watched one second of one game in at least 5 years.

Maybe they can do that for baseball. It seems like we can attract some talent. We just don't know what to do with it once we get it.

who do we get as our new coach to bring us back from said depths the program is in? we need pitching, hitting and fielding. other than that we are a pretty good baseball team
