Turns out My Internet Exploder was crashing. so I uninstalled it.

The I downlaoded it. After I saved it came up with a box abotu "Administrator and Password. I've NEVER done anything like this before.

So I change to it me.

It won't let me open it.

What gives?

Thanks...

Also, just because you’ve allowed yourself to become too fat or out of shape to walk around efficiently for the day does not mean that you should automatically be able to pass me in the test track line.

Bro there are entirely too many grown ass women in princess dresses without kids walking around Disney World.

A worked with a former teacher who was in that world. Her car was covered in Disney princess shit and she ran 5 and 10Kr aces in princess skirts and costumes. She did it with her daughter, but I could tell it was really for her.

A nice lady who was a great teacher, but a little too out there for me.

Mako’s turn from genial country mouse to homicidal misanthrope did not take long.

juice we could take this to the tunnels, but i'm interested in your take on Build First for rehousing ppl in unsuitable public housing

https://dcist.com/story/21/06/23/bowser-pledges-money-to-develop-park-morton-in-about-face/

Park Morton is about five blocks from me, and I see just about all sides of arguments here about what the right thing is for remaining residents. I'll be bummed to lose a park with nice facilities, but glad it's being used to rehouse people in what are truly awful conditions.

I'll check it out!

sadly, my understanding of housing is often contained within the world I work in -- LIHTC-financed private development of affordable housing -- but I'm making an effort to expand my understanding to public housing, policy comparisons with other nations, etc.

I've been kicking around the idea of going back to get a PhD in housing policy -- talk me out of it

I'm not. For me, I'm not entirely worried about paying for school, but I am worried about the restrictions that a 529 puts on the money in a world where I don't even fucking know what college admissions or reality looks like 10 years from now. It's just too uncertain for me to justify.

This is basically our position as well.

Downtown Portland looks like a refugee camp. Never seen so many tents on sidewalks. They’re not friendly either. Watched a couple of them get into a fight over who was going to sleep on a picnic table on the patio of a closed restaurant from across the street. Lady was screaming at this guy and then started screaming at everyone who was looking at her

A few blocks away it’s a totally different vibe because the services for all three homeless people are downtown where it’s flat and they basically never leave that area.

There's something like 4,000 homeless in Portland, vs 60,000 in LA. You wanna see some tents? I'll show ya some tents

Also.....

was very hazy last night in Chicago -- turns out it's from the wildfires out west

I get this to an extent but the tax free growth and withdrawals is pretty sweet. I figure there’s a near certainty I’ll be paying something for college. So I’ll fund the 529s to a certain point then stop. If for some reason there’s still leftover I can change the beneficiary and leave the funds in there indefinitely.

Can’t you also use it for a down payment on a first house? Pretty sure there are a few other approved uses other than college tuition.
