Brandy is always a good option. Fancy is a crowd pleaser. Old Time Rock and Roll, Its Tricky, pretty much go with anything that is mainstream enough, but a classic and you wont have to explain it.

I don't think that's wrong - but I often find it blinks quickly to something that even another half-moment's thought changes. Like, "nah, i don't think i can go around telling people "The Imperial March" is my favorite song"

I don't have a favorite song, but when someone asks, I say MJ's "Remember the time." That video was rad as fuck back in the 90s.
 
Better question. What song on your workout playlist would most surprise people. Mine is “Seasons of Love” or “Gaston”.
