If the pain is at the top of the shoulder and it didn’t go away after resting my guess would be impingement.

Can definitely improve with therapy, might have to modify weighted overhead activities.
One of my Winston buddies had impingement and had good results with a PT there. I can give you their name if you can make it to Winston or I’ll see if I can find a good referral in Wilkesboro.
