Recommend good stuff you've seen on Netflix streaming

Making a dinosaur-centric show that isn't appropriate for kids 3-6 seems would completely miss the core audience.

There's just way too much content these days. No way I can keep up with all these recs. Back in the day you had thursday night TV and maybe Sunday night TV and that was it

If Ph can watch every show, you can too !!!!!

What's the dig here exactly? (it's also the weirdest boomer dig, perhaps leftover from TOB?)

It honestly seems like you and Ph both spend a lot of time watching tv and posting online compared to the modal American.

That dig has always been funny because there are so many well-regarded shows I haven’t watched.

And it’s 2022, plenty of people post online all the time.

Season 4 of Stranger Things almost seems like it was written by an entirely different writers room. Maybe it's just the beginning of phase 2 after the events of last season, but they have really ratcheted up the antagonism. I'm only through 2 episodes, but I like it so far.

I really don't watch a ton of TV but would be glad to cut back even more.

watched the first 2 eps of The Staircase (the series, not the documentary). pretty good. didn't know it took place in Durham. I have no knowledge of this case, but I wasn't in NC in 2001.

they pulled some pretty great actors for the HBO series

juliette binoche in particular absolutely crushes

For anyone interested, Applebees currently has a special running where you get 1 free movie ticket ($15 fandango value) to Top Gun for every $25 you spend. I just got two IMAX tickets for Saturday from the deal.

Does alcohol count towards that $25? Because sometimes they say alcohol not included, which is discriminatory. Also, there's no way I'm eating $25 of Boneless Wings and Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos so I can get a free movie ticket.

We Own This City is great. Jon Bernthal is a damned good actor

Our Flag Means Death was great, especially after Blackbeard came on board. Really clever, if not laugh out loud funny that often, and entertaining. Glad it was renewed for a second season.

I was dreading starting Stranger Things back up after what I thought was a lackluster 2nd and 3rd seasons. Maybe it was the time off, but I enjoyed this one as much as any since the first. Apparently it's only the first 7 of 9 episodes, which irritated me initially, but they left it at the perfect spot for maximum build up.

I'm in the same boat. First episode was kind of meh, but at some point in the 2nd episode, they postulated a theory and went with it. It's enough of a change up to where I don't feel like this season has regurgitating the same stuff as the last two. It's different, but not so different as to be illogical. Lots of humorous bits too that were more rare in the first three seasons, but again, the right amount and not overboard.

Definitely looking forward to the last two eps.

Some of these kids are looking ooooooold though.

Mancrush continues……

I’m 8 eps into watching The Offer on paramount plus and I am all about it! If you like The Godfather or if you like “making of” type shows or documentaries, then watch this. I was completely absorbed and I know now exactly what a producer does on a movie set. Full disclosure- my wife had no interest in this even though I kept telling her interesting stories but that’s on her.
