NFL Year 2022. Superbowl Winner: Kansas City Chiefs!

In other news, Boogie is having an excellent camp for the Bills. Von Miller is rubbing off on him.

NFL Year 2022. Training Camps. Every team in Camp. Watson Gets six game suspension,

The problem with the Watson case is that the attorney repping the accusers has like zero credibility. So trial by social media doesn’t really work

James Washington goes down for the Cowboys. Hopefully Jaquarri gets a shot to make the team. Some of the best hands i have seen at Wake.

So the league came down fairly heavy on Stephen Ross and the Phins for tampering with Tom Brady in 2019. They suspended Ross till mid October, fined him $1.5mil and took away their 1st round pick next year and a 3rd rounder the following year. Though they did not find that Ross' comments to Flores amounted to tanking. Of course they didn't.

Yet they still apparently won't do anything to Dan Snyder and won't investigate the Texans for furnishing Watson with hotel rooms and NDAs. Nothing to see there.

Word from Steelers camp is that QQB Mitch Trubisky is stinking the joint up and could lose the starting job to Mason Rudolph or, eventually, Kenny Pickett.

Also, rookie WR George Pickens is lighting it up.

Greg Dortch has basically been uncoverable in Cardinals training camp.

Is that short for QanonQB? Trubisky would have to suck way more than he did in Chicago to relinquish a job to Rudolph because he has been atrocious every time he has stepped on a pro field. And as a rival fan, I was kinda happy to see them draft Pickett. He might be okay but has a low ceiling. To me, the interesting rookies somewhere down the road are Corral and Willis.

I usually don't waste effort rooting for guys to fail, but if Kenny Pickett completely bombs out of the league it would put a smile on my face. Guy just seems like the ultimate douche and doesn't deserve nice things.

And as an added bonus the Steelers will suck.

Yeah. Still time for the Panthers to trade for him.

Ouch. Though I get where you're coming from. FWIW, I do think you'll get better QBing this year from Baker. Then the problem is finding a meeting of the minds next offseason on a contract extension because Baker ain't worth near what he thinks he's worth. He's gonna want $30-40mil per, and ain't no way I'd pay it. Especially considering you're not in good cap shape next year.

I was looking at the Panther fantasy ratings, and it looks like your D, QB and WRs tend to be undervalued, whereas Run CMC is still a top 10 pick, and ain't no way I'm spending the #5 or 6 pick on him. I was also wondering if Anderson might have a bounce back season with Baker.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, because I really hope that I am....

But the article I read said that Watson will miss SIX of his $57,500 game checks for a total of $345,000 of his $1.035 million base salary.

He just signed the largest guaranteed contract in American Sports history at $230 million.

Was the $1.035 million part of his previous salary, and the $230 million was an extension after signing with Cleveland......or did they somehow fucking work into his contract a 1st year salary of $1.035 million when the 2023 and 2024 figures are $46 million and $44.965 million respectively?

I really hope they didn't make it so any suspension wouldn't cost him but a drop in the bucket...because that's despicable (one of many aspects of this case).

Yes, I believe they specifically structured it so that his first year salary was a million, precisely anticipating a year-long or almost year-long suspension. That’s another aspect of what I’d heard could have ticked off the NFL, because it’s blatant gamesmanship on the part of Watson and the Browns to protect him from any serious financial repercussions. Ideally the NFL would be ticked off about the abuse, but anyway.
