Klintman, if he comes back, is going to have to overcome a giant set of expectations from the fana.
Sad but true. I only know a handful of people that don’t post here and actually follow Wake bball anymore.I wonder how many Wake fans even know who he is. A lot of them probably checked out by the time he started getting good minutes.
That's a normal path for draft picks outside the lottery. Only 6 1st rounders outside the lottery played over 52 NBA games this season. Jake only played 35.I find it hard to believe that if Bobi were to get drafted he would do anything other than play in the g league next year.
However, if he gets drafted in the first round, he gets that guaranteed multimillion dollar contract.I find it hard to believe that if Bobi were to get drafted he would do anything other than play in the g league next year.
And if he gets drafted in the top half of the second round, he gets a guaranteed two to four year contract at roughly $1 million per year. However, if he gets drafted in the first round, he gets that guaranteed multimillion dollar contract.
No because he was mid-first rounder. He did just fine. What if he had sustained this same type injury that sidelined him during our season? Then he might not get drafted. Take it when you can get it! Jake signed a 4 year, $14.7 mill contract with $6.2 mill guaranteed at signing. I believe he is happy with what he did going 19th overall.Even though Jake Laravia got a contract, I wonder if his status would have been enhanced if he had stayed at Wake one more year.
The really smart decision Jake made was coming to Wake in the first place. His draft stock was nonexistent at Indiana State and it went through the roof after playing under Coach Forbes in the ACC. Bobi hasn't really had his chance to shine in the ACC but he might not need it. Coming back to Wake and getting that exposure certainly isnt' a bad option. No because he was mid-first rounder. Not really- if it doesn't work in the NBA, he has a number of other countries where he can go and make good money. And the NBA pedigree will ensure that he gets top dollar in those leagues.Jake made the right decision but still might be out of the nba in two more years and not get a second contract (hope not!). It's a brutal business for these guys- they make a lot of money but they better produce or else their career is over before they are 25 years old.
