Wake Forest 2023 baseball season thread (Deacs end historic season with extra inning loss to LSU: Final record 54-12 and top 4 finish nationally)

Fuck that. We have Stanford demons to finally put down and this team will do it.
I don’t know man, beating the brains in of the big 10 champ, alabama, texas, lsu, and florida en route to our second natty feels decent.

sat behind some alabama fans behind the dugout sunday. There was one wake fan who was bordering on being a little bit obnoxious but nothing too bad.

They used to throw that many pitches with regularity. The only reason they don't now is to protect their cash investment and because they use intermediate relievers and closers with regularity. Yet they still give their starters 5 days rest, etc. Kid will be fine. Not everybody is Jacob Degrom.

This thread. Lulz

I say good, about time our home venues and fans weren't known as some of the friendliest places for visiting fans. Of course, about 10 percent is probably on our fans and 90 percent is a bunch of whining from Bama fans after their team got their butts handed to them.

The issue with pitch counts is throwing 120+ and coming back on 5 days rest regularly. One time of throwing a crazy pitch count isn't going to hurt anyone. Throwing that many pitches really shouldn't be an issue if he gets extended rest after the fact.

He threw 114 pitches on June 2, 66 pitches on June 5, and now 156 pitches on June 11.

That’s over 300 pitches in 10 days, spread over 3 outings. That’s not normal for a college pitcher.

They were waiting for the " fan" to leave his seat and he was taken off the premises. The law enforcement officers in the stadium were there to monitor and control those visiting "fans". I could not see what the trouble makers were doing, but law enforcement knew which specific individuals were their targets.

That officer you pictured was there to be in front of the bama fan that was targeted. Two officers in section 6 were watching him.

Sounds like the perfect tired arm candidate for Deacs to face in Game 1 on June 17….

I didn't see it here but did any hear why the Alabama pitcher McMillan was ejected.?
