Playing in a game like that is such great PR for the program.

Well, considering there are only 3 finalists and LSU had 2 of them and Florida had the other…
 
Baseball is perhaps the weirdest of all sports in that bad teams can always beat good teams and the best team rarely wins it all at any level. Everything has to align. Making the CWS is the goal every year. Winning it all requires everything to come together. It didn’t this year. But we’ve built an extremely strong foundation. I trust that this isn’t a flash in the pan.

That's so odd. My bad for making us look bad fellas!

Either way, it was the best baseball game, at least from the pitchers, that I've seen in a long time!

Good luck to the team next season! I'll definitely try to pay attention more before the very last night of the season next year.

Hope you baseball doods don't stay bummed for too long! It'll be OK....this season can only be great for future recruiting.

If today’s news is any indication, LSU’s wins will be vacated in 3 years. Not that that helps in any though.

I loved the squeeze attempt. Gutsy call and took a perfect pickup, relay AND tag for the out. In a scoreless game, that run literally would have won the game.

Just like our play on Monday at the plate, just great defense made at the right time.

We scored 0 runs in 18 innings. My take stands the offense was historically horrendous in Omaha.
 
This team was something special and it brought so many Wake fans (and Winston-Salem/NC fans) to the program and out to the park.

It was right there for us...and then it wasn't. So proud of the team and playing the other #1 team in the country down to the wire in all of the games says something about the quality of this team. Great job by the coaching staff and the pitching was amazing. Go Deacs, and let's do it again next year!!
