2023 Carolina Panthers thread - HOF Julius Peppers

This reeks of Young is overwhelmed and needs to sit a few games and watch. I mean it’s not the worst idea and certainly the way they used to handle qbs back in the day. Elway sat for a good chunk of his rookie year. But cmon on…. Bryce is not hurt.

The Panthers signed Jake Luton to the practice squad yesterday. Before that, Young and Dalton were the only QBs on the entire roster. Do they have to put Luton on the active roster for him to be QB2?

It would be a shitshow if they went through this ankle charade and Dalton got injured so Young had to play anyway.

I hope it's just Young is overwhelmed and not Reich using Young as a human shield. He's staring at a 0-6 start after an interim coach finished 6-6. This a disaster and I could certainly see firing Reich during the bye week and either promoting Brown or Ejero or installing Caldwell as interim to stop the bleeding.

If Tepper wouldn’t fire Rhule after his second full season of sucking he’s not gonna can Reich after six games

you cannot fire a coach after six games unless he commits a criminal or immoral act or you will not be able to hire a good coach ever again

The publicly available facts may line up that Bryce isn’t hurt, but this is so monumentally dumb if he’s actually healthy that I refuse to believe it

I really think Reich was hired because he was the safest OWG "Whatever you say, Mr. Tepper" option

Some young gun up and coming OC wouldn't do that. Wilks probably not, either.

Good lord. Young is hurt. Y'all sound like Q anon. Is Young really JFK Jr?

You honestly believe if we were 2-0 or 1-1 Young wouldn't be playing in Seattle?

I doubt he ever even hits the injury report in that scenario.

Yeah I’m pretty sure they could go winless and Reich isn’t going anywhere. Shoulda hired Wilks - the only time this team has had any identity in the last 5 years or so

He's hurt. Could he play on Sunday? Probably. But they don't want him making it worse in practice so he's not getting reps in practice out of caution, and he's 2 games into a pro career so he needs practice reps the week before this game - being that he's a rookie. The practice reps are the problem. I'm told he is almost for sure starting again the following week.

I mean while not a controversy necessarily right now the majority of the fan base isn’t too happy with management and ownership
