2023-24 Wake Forest Basketball Season - 21-14 (11-9) - KP#29 / NET#43

The waiver is an NCAA process. Expect the worst possible outcome and you won't be disappointed.
Since UNC played what 3 or 4 games before Walker's waiver was approved, I'm sure they'll make us play several games before a decision.

Makes you wonder (maybe not) if the delay is the same as a penalty for them to sit out, akin to can't play until end of semester....

What a shitty post about a Wake kid. Infuriating, spoiled, worse, worst, terrible... you know what's terrible? Your bs assholery directed at a college kid.
I’m an asshole for saying he’s not a good power 6 basketball player? Get some thicker skin. Nothing I said was remotely out of bounds.

I’m probably an asshole too but he didn’t attack Marsh personally. He pointed out his weaknesses with data to back it up. In the age of NIL, I get way less concerned about critiquing play.

You are being an asshole. To a college kid. Thicker skin? I'm calling you out for saying shitty things about a college kid. Kid.

Marsh ain't a pro.

Where we disagree is the shitty words he used to... describe his... weaknesses.

I think there's a difference between recognizing someone's faults as an athlete and taking someone's faults as an athlete and applying it to their worth as a person. The first is in bounds, the second is not. And we all know there are plenty of dipshits/"fans" who call for student-athletes to be run out of town, hurt, or worse because they missed a play.

Now would I apply the word "worst" to a college kid the age of my son? No, I would not. But I did say yesterday, and I stand by my statement, that Marsh is not a P5 starting center.

If this is the general reaction after a good win that no one could see, I can’t (can*) wait to see what happens after a mediocre loss this year.

Marsh is a serviceable ACC player that has his strengths and obvious weaknesses. 15 minutes this season would be a good baseline

This is true. And there will be teams that he matches up with better than others, and when those come he should be able to feast as he did last year.

Yeah. Critiquing play and weaknesses are fine. Nicknaming a college kid who puts in a hell of a lot of work because they have deficiencies in their skill/play is shitty.
Or wondering if he can get hit by a motorcycle to take out his legs.

I know it was obviously a "joke", but THAT is shitty.

If you can't see the difference between what ish and wakegrrl said compared to the way altdeac did then feel free to keep it up I guess.

People are acting like Marsh is some five star that isn't living up to the hype. He's an unranked project seven footer..... Considering that, I say he's absolutely been a net positive.

Can't wait to rub it in people's faces when he's averaging a double double by senior year

I think the Marsh criticism is completely fair - it was a nuanced take based on what is pretty clear about him.

The comments about Griffis are way further over the line than these comments.
Agreed but Mitch has been pretty well known to have taken good NIL money this year so he's crossed the line from amateur to semi pro

Anyone who wanted could go to the game. It was free.
